I would say cause of how long you were gone.
I can see how you might feel that to be relevant but to my credit I abided by the same rules and went through the same trials as all current members. To my understanding these methods have not changed since the old Frozen Knight days (the clan KR resurrected from) - for all those not keen on KR’s history.
The way I see it - you have a experienced single saberist interested in perfecting his craft and an Ex-Arbiter who is probably the most skilled member in the clan willing to help teach him. As LK pointed out, the majority of Arbiters/Masters are inactive, why not utilize the current resources at hand? I may not be on the server daily, but when I am on I usually see LK and have already helped train him on a few occasions. In my opinion this seems like a much logical solution than what is currently being suggested and he would definitely benefit a lot more from it.
I have no doubt in your skill level, Broke, and I am sure there's much LK could learn from you. Also, it seems that you and LK sync up together in both style, attitude, and timing, which would make for a good fit.
However, as the Arbiter ranks are all filled up, I am not sure how you could regain your old rank without the demotion of another. While some Arbiters may hardly be on, I think fair warning would have to be given first.
As to becoming a Master, I don't think there'd be any toes stepped on or any feelings hurt. again, that would be a Council-oriented decision, so may I recommend PMing Council on this matter? While you may disagree with Gospel, he has a valid point that it has been a while. While I don't think it's hindered your skills any, you have become less-in-tune with KR going-ons and its life in general. You've just rejoined after a very, very long absence, with many new members and some different rules or amendments.
Also, and I do not know because I wasn't around, but perhaps the manner of your leaving is playing a role. Whether amicable or hostile (I doubt hostile, it's just a "what-if" scenario), how you left may have had an impact on how you returned as well. Obviously you are KR material, as the test of time has proven, but KR itself has changed also.
In short, all I can say is PM Council formally on this matter and see what happens. LK obviously needs a Master and likes you, and you were a high-ranking, favorable member, so it will likely be in your favor.
