As you all have probably figured out by now I tend to come on the server, from time to time, with a different alias. On Friday, 7PM-9PM EST, I came on with a white named alias (some important character from the movie, Dont remember which). I am appalled at the crazy amount of strictness and lack of tolerance to accidents.
I got kicked after 2 accidental lames. The first time I was slept. The lame was that there was a guy with melee out and he was standing around. I went up and tried to ambush him. He put his chatbubble up right as i hit him. I got slept and got the whole "do u know what laming is?" talk. The second time was an understandable reason because it seemed as if i did it on purpose. This time Greed challenged me to a duel. I pulled out my saber and swung it back and forth. It hit him. This time i probably deserved it. It seemed like it was on purpose.
Now the 3rd time. This time I walked up to pyra and challenged her to a duel. Just as an "I'm ready!" kind of gesture I swung with blue and moved to the side to avoid hitting her. She flashed her "no laming" bind. I was getting ready to say "I didnt hit you". Next thing ya know i was out of the server.
Fazz was obviously tailing me while ghosted so I suspect he played a major role in this. One accidental lame and one accident that seemed to be on purpose. I've read the admin rules and I don't think that is how the procedure is followed. I didn't even receive a slap (well actually i did cuz i killed a lamer who FG was abt to slap and he slapped me by accident but thats irrelevant). Just straight to sleep and kick. This truly amazes me...

First off, I was directing my "No Laming" bind because you did hit me, even if you didn't realize it. It was a graze that only took off nine armor, but it was still laming.

Secondly, you were Greedo. (Resisting a "did-you-shoot-first" joke).

Thirdly, from what I recall the server got fairly full at one point; whether or not this was during the time you were on I can't remember, but that might explain the fast-acting admining.

Now, if you weren't on at this time and it wasn't a full server, then maybe I can follow the train of thought that might've occurred: you were accidentally slapped, but when someone is slapped it shows on the screen "So-And-So Was Slapped." So an admin may have seen that and thought "Oh, he got first warning" and not have noticed F.G. apologizing. Hence why you were then slept and later kicked when it seemed like you only made two offenses (accidental or not).

I'm sorry you feel like you were treated unfairly, and this does seem to be a very messed-up situation of misunderstandings and false assumptions. I don't know what action can be taken against the offending admin (I didn't take admin action against you and merely flashed my bind, so I do not know what happened).

You're an ex-KR, and in my book that means you're still family, rule-abiding and good-hearted. I think this was just a misunderstanding, and while that explanation may be very unsatisfying to you, it still may be the truth (I do not know).

All I can suggest as a Guardian is that apologies be made and this be left forgotten. Again, I'm sorry if you feel that this isn't satisfactory, and in the end it is not my decision but Council's, but it's the humble opinion of mine.

I hope nothing like this happens again to you in the future, Phree. I'm very sorry you felt abused and unjustly punished.

He was NOT Greedo, he was Obi wonken obi. Greedo never got kicked. And secondly. When I asked "Who slapped him besides zen?" in cc Fazz blatantly lied and said "Me" (as in fazz, not me).

Now, I have no clue why phree did this. He was wearing the anti-telepathy helmet at the time But what I saw was that the admins were being WAY too strict at the time. This greedo fellow was most probably new, and I was told that he was to be kicked on the 4th lame. That's anything but lenient towards the newbies. IDK why every admin besides me and zen were so strict on that particular day, but w/e.

First off, i would like to say that before i did sleep phree, i did see him lame, i definatelly flashed the lame bind, and i thought i slapped him, but i apologise if i didnt. This was a ful server that the time, so imo, when i see him lame for the second time, i am within my rights to sleep him, which i did.
Also, at no point was i ghosted, i was simply standing at the edge of the circle on ffa5, as there was alot of lameing going on so i was keeping an eye out on everyone.
im sory if you feel hard done by phree, and i apologise for that,

kk. Ty 4 teh explanation fazz. Full server and all. I can (kinda ) see why this happened. Im not taking this personally and all. The reason I posted this is because it seemed like me, acting as a new guy, was treated too harshly. If other new guys get treated like this, because of similar mishaps, then they probably arent going to come back... Im just looking out for u guys

I can't comment on admin strictness or abuse because of all the times I've been on the server.. I've never witnessed it, and I'm on quite a bit. But the part about coming back is a good point of discussion independent of Phreedom's main topic here.

There are two things I hear alot on the KR server by others. The first is people love the server. The second is they wish KR members were present more. Now I have no idea how to handle the second one. People have lives and responsibilities so they can only come on when they can. The only thing I can say.. and I hope it's not taken as a criticism, is that a good portion of the time, even when KR members are on the server, they tend to be chat bubble up or non-responsive (ie afk). Oh.. and a second thing lol... this one is a personal thing I noticed.. not sure anyone else cares. When KR members are on.. whether there are 10 or 2.. the server is quiet.. and is very little comments to chat. This is the case because it seems KR talks in the server 99% of the time in clan chat. which is fine.. just realize everyone else is hearing nothing so the server appears void of conversation/interaction.

Thats all I got. I'm sorry phreedom if something happened negatively, but in my experience thus far, it would seem like that is not the norm. I personally think lamers get to many chances /attention from the admins.. but thats just me.

As far as i can tell we as admin's Can and do sometime's act rather quickly and this can be efficent but it can also lead to complications in our methods, im speaking from experience here because i have had to be reminded several times about my admining procedure - and fazz i'm not getting at you but phree had not been slaped ( just an accidental slap by me ) or atleast to the knowledge of which i am aware, this is coming from my personal opinion:

As members of the knight's reborn clan admin usage should be handled like a surgeons knife - with precision and delicacy the lame which caused phree to be kicked was clearlly accidental in my eyes for the following reasons - When i first joined jka i would pull out my saber by pressing left click e.g the standard attack button, this causes an overhead strike phree had pulled out his saber in the same fasion so it hit pyra and once he saw that he backed off straight away and was not given any chance whatsoever to apologise.

In v basic i believe this issue is a very good example of " Hasty" action and should serve to show us to be a bit more patient when handling these issues.
