Im gonna be honest, i dont have the slightest idea what this game is about. all i know is that i played the.... i dont remember which one i played & i totally despised it, but anyways.

i use to be friends with a FF FANATIC, with all the words & letters, & i asked him a couple of times about FF stuff. maybe someone here knows, i wont say names, about they whys.

1. What is the storyline??
2. Are the storylines sequels to one another, or do the have some other type of synchornazation or chronological order??
3. What happened to the dudes of FFVII?? Ive hear thats the best FF there is, is there any relationship with any other FF??
4. Have you played all the FFs??
5. Are the rumors about the name true?? if u need to hear the rumors just ask me so i can tell u what ive heard about it lol

1) The story line somewhat changes from game to game, it's hard to pinpoint any one storyline. It's usually just a band of miscellaneous people who work together to save... well, something. Whether it be the world, a girl, the moon, orbs, crystals, doesn't matter. They'd fight a big bad Boss and all his minions, save the day, then finito.

2) Some have some sort of synchronization (FFX and FFX-2) but they are typically disjointed and independent of the other titles.

3) Those guys were well known because it was one of the first (of not the first) 3-D RPG. They had a good storyline, great characterization, and graphics that were revolutionary for the time.

4) Nope, but I've played almost all of them.

5) If the "rumors" you've heard are some sort of innuendo or crude joke, then don't tell me. The title was chosen because it is typically a fantasy/sci-fi fantasy genre. The reason for the "final" part was because Square Enix (formerly Squaresoft) was going bankrupt and Final Fantasy was their last hope to get back on even footing, their "final" chance. Luckily, it paid off. That's the reason for the title "Final Fantasy."

Mk, well it's pretty much as Pyra said.

1. It varies from game to game. I think the only 2 sets of games that followed the same set of characters was Final Fantasy 1 and 2, and then 10, and 10 - 2.

3. There have been several sequels to Final Fantasy VII. One of them was a movie, and the other 2 were video games. They explain what happened before or after (depending on which one you buy) the events of the original game.

And again, refer to question 1.

4. No. And frankly, I don't want to. Final Fantasy 1 - 10 are very good games (some more than others), and I highly recommend them. But after 10, Square Enix tries new things with the battle style and game mechanics and it just doesn't feel like Final Fantasy.

These, of course, are opinions. And different people really like some of the newer ones. I do not.

5. What have you heard?

Actually, don't tell me. If they are crude, it doesn't matter. What Pyra said was true.
