RPG - KOTOR 1 (Mass effect is worth a shout although I do prefer KOTOR a bit more)
FPS - Crysis by some distance so far
3rd person - JA still for me
Racing - Serious Racing woudl be GRID that is awesome better than any Grand turismo IMHO!! m non serious would be Mario Kart of any region although SNES Wii and DS are probably the best although DOuble dash worth a shout
PLatform - Mario Galaxy
Adventure - Oblivion , could be RPG i suppose.
RTS - EIther Civ 2 (4 worth a shout) or if it qualifies Sid Meiers Pirates
Sports - EA sports games are OK but historically shite because they update graphics and charge more money.. However I am going EA cricket 07.. which wasnt very good but the competition didnt rise to it either. - I would like to say the Formula 1 game on PS3 but never played it.. That looks great!!!

I wonder if you could download a Ferarri cheat mod making them have the stewards ban Lewis Hamilton mod?

In fact it probabaly wouldnt even run on a 360 or a PS3 without it taking a real graphics hit

It is made and works well on high end gaming PCs... the expansion pack has however optimised it so it performs even better

MMOG - WWII Online (Battleground Europe)
MMORPG - Lord of The Rings Online
FPS - Combat Arms
RTS - Medievel 2 Total War, 1701 AD and Sid Meier's Pirates! is a good one
3rd Person - JKA of course
and whatever category Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 falls under
no consoles for a few years now

A few menstions of Gears of War.. I must admit I didnt think GoW stood up to CoD4 let alone Crysis, also the new Crysis game is supposedly brilliant.. I know it has its critics but I cannot think of a FPS which I think is better (which I have played)

GTA4 will likely replace JA when it comes to PC November!
