lol i would join in on all you people and like saying stuff but i have actually seen this movie... i havent read the book.

what it talks about though is really interesting because it could be true...
it doesnt tell you how to have a happy life.. it basically is like talking about how you could have a happy life. how to go through life not being negative.... it teaches people about staying positive and if you do you will succeed which will lead you to a happy life. Who succeeds and isnt happy? unless your britanny spears and flips out and shave your head...


anyway..... the movie ( cuz thats the only thing i saw and i havent read the book) doesnt tell people how to have a happy life but more about how to succeed.

Just watch the movie.... its really interesting... Believe me... or dont lol. your decision obviously.

I think alot of people who suceed are NEVER truley happy..

Then you look in contrast, at poor countries and countries which struggle to get by.. do these people hang themselves ? slit their wrists..

Happiness can only come from within, not sure saying "happy go lucky" will bring you happiness is going to work.

I believe there your wrong. I think of course they do. Maybe even more then us. Keeping in mind they are POOR so we wouldn't hear any news reports, as most 1st world people couldn't give a crap what African person worth 10 cent committed suicide. Same goes for them, why would they care about some rich guy committing suicide, my guess is neither one is highlighted in either place. Its all well and good to rely on the media to present an "outside look" on the worlds affairs, but you have to remember they'll only show what will get the ratings.

There is alot more depression and suicide in our society

This has been a well documented point and it is a result of what is a competitive urban society. Where greed, success and obsession are offset by realistic human needs and targets to ful fill ones happiness..

This culture isnt exposed as much to poorer countries, because for what its worth, aside from the horrendous troubles they face, they are alot happier than us.

Yes happiness does come from within... and i know alot of poor peolpe that are happy with there lifes..... becuase there always positive.. which is what the movie and the book talk about lol...
