You remember getting up at half six on Saturday's was compulsory just to watch The Den/ TCC.

You had a fringe at some point in your childhood.

You wore brightly coloured leggings that were always too small.

You took plastic lunchboxes to school everyday.

You owned a tamagotchi.

You said NOT after every sentence.

You collected pokemon cards.

You had an alien living in goo and you thought if you fed him the goo he would have a baby.

You watched postman pat, bob the builder, teletubies and barney.

You felt the need to repeat Care Bear's saying "sharing is caring" over and over when someone wouldn't give you what you wanted.

You collected beanie babies and were devastated when they stopped making them.

You said stuff like "talk to the hand cause the face ain't listening" and thought you were cool.

You wore bum bags. (yep we all remember that -.-)

You owned a pair of flashing runners

I remember all he tamagotchis.

We used to play more in the streets then. These days kids dont seem to play out much other than hang out at bus stops :s

I came across this today and to be honest i was shocked, my childhood is ALL of those things and its prity much a summery of the long summer holidays we used to have.
Wow good times, so long ago now!
What toped it off for me is a close friend of mine Fergus was having a heated conversation with his smaller brother (9 years old) and a group of his friends about how they have no imagination.
I can tell you, listening in on the whole thing made me feel damn old even though I'm 16 ha things like "back in our days we made up our own games!! all you young people do is go to each others house and play nintendo do DS ALL day!"
Well, he was right, we were prity amazing kids if i don't say so myself. 2 straight months for a 10 year old is a massive mountain of time to overcome without getting horrendously bored!
And of course back then was the land of Playstation 1 and Nintendo 64 with things like Spyro and and super old school Mario.
We played things like tip the can, capture the flag, hide and chase, climb and go chase (hide and chase except on a tree), hide and go kiss (yep back that young a kiss from a girl was a fate worse then death so you DID NOT want to be caught! haha), pokemon card trading, yu gi oh card trading. Theres so man things we had to do to keep ourselves entertained, and because there was no such thing as the Xbox 360 and PS3 around we were not a fraction as expensive as the kids now a days.

Most of those things you posted to begin with apply to me Darko.

And I agree with the other post, when I was little I used to go down to the woods at the bottom of the feild where I live where we made dams in the river and hideout things.. Ahh I loved doing all that, I still go down there every now and again. And pokemon cards were awesome, I always used to trade them!
