Quick question

As it says in the absences/leaves section, I recently had to re-image my computer. Everything seemed to be working fine until I noticed that every raw file that I had downloaded and saved from jk3files.com was now not a folder anymore. Instead it was a ZIP file and my computer no longer knows how to open it. I even tried to download another one, and it did the same thing. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thanx

its good to have winrar anyway, its a pretty useful program, especially if you encounter a compressed file that windows wont normally recognize

I agree. I've been using WinRar for longer then I can remember. A good example of what Windows can't read thats relevant is PK3 files. Windows by default cannot read inside any .pk3 file (the files that build up JKA), WinRar however can.

I think windows in general access .zip files.. you cannot zip with it but you can access them.

for RAw files etc you need Winrar or another 3rd party tool

You can indirectly zip files by right clicking -> send too -> compressed folder.

Zip files can be opened automaticly by XP.

Most likely its a .rar file ure dealing with.

Nonetheless, winrar opens both types, and alot more
