besides i could neevr make it as good, for them this was a massive invention to recieve an intranet lol
But now it kinda needs changes and updates and with this in mind I might add a few things to it.
From what I understand she downloaded a template just a rough guide them stripped it all out and designed everything all teh graphics and stuff, then used part design and part code to knock it together. It is really good..
If I only look at how things were done and then if I look at the coding I hope to pick it up... thats a good way right?
You will develop locally, so when you do that grab a copy of the entire intranet folder off the host server which teh bname escapes me now.. ( I moved it to a better server before I left and cannot remember the name)
your best ooption is to take two copies locally, one which you will make teh changes and upload ./.. and one where you test things and trying things out ya know, things which might be bigger.
I found like you two said stick something in, look at teh code if something I am stuck on try to get example of what else has done and then edit teh code to suit.. and by doing that and reading it.. you start to get an idea of how it goes together..
But you cannot devote your hwole time to learning languages and devloping if your going for networking and systems admin/ engineer.. I learnt that along time ago.. still its a nice hobbie and a string to anyones bow.
