I have been a bit grumpy today..

Lets just say I have had an absolute Mare at work today a day from hell!!!!

for the second time in a week a major system disc failed on our SAn which runs the entire network data storage for teh entire business which I have to get a drive shipped over and replace..

also the internet had gone down, which was a hardware issue with a PIX firewall module.. which took ages to get back up as the part was being driven to us. alot of teh company relies on a net connection so i was getting hassled for that

the guy delivering it got lost and i couldnt direct him as I had no net connection

My blackberry hadnt reported any messages since there was no net connection.

this kicked off a multitue of problems and cuased the main weekend backups to fail which low and behold they were needed..

then throuought the day small things kept coming up some director from a remote branch bought his laptop in with suspect hard drive failure which i had to do in teh middle of all that before he left to go back..

i was also trying to fix a printer/ scanning machine newly installed at an office in scotland which turns out they have supplied teh wrong one and its damaged in transit anyway...

apart from that...

Everything went sweet..

I was hoping the last week would be a wind down

I tyhink she posted that before the other thread went a bit like that..

not seen or spoken to her today as she is away for work. but yesterday she was a bit well down.. which isnt usually like her

we all get it..

i must admit i look at that stuff thats happened and think one day that might be me Scary to think that one day such a large thing is put in your hands to deal with...

dont think anything off it... while i wanted to express my view i perhaps let my emotions say a few things which were a bit harsh on a global scale. which I am sorry about..

Anyway everything is fixed and pretty much working now

Except I got to go to Croydon branch on 3rd .. new roll outs and changing of their main IP switch... thats going to be a long day.
