Backstory. He contacted my wife and had her convinced he was her son (he's estranged) but when it comes to money she directed him to me. As I am a tad more vigilant things didn't go as planned for him.
Note also there have been significant data breaches in Australia recently, some already on the darkweb, so names & phone numbers could have come from those. His phone number is 0459540270

Him: She told me to ask it yourself

Him: I have to transfer 2 payments for today. but because I have a new phone I can't do the transaction on my phone and on the computer they say that I have to confirm it in the old banking app....

Me: Why can't you go to your bank in person?
Him: I'm at work the bank will be closed when I'm done

Me: For a transfer this big the bank now asking for the address to send a printed receipt to the person getting the money to make sure it goes through. Where does this person live please?
