It will only work with the original JKA, not OpenJK. I found it better to run both JAMP and BFUU as Administrator. Also, I launch JAMP first, then once it's running execute BFUU. Even then, my app crashes so often doing this I no longer bother with it.

My advise will be open uu17 first and then click on Jedi Academy games. I suggest run both as an admins to see how it goes. Does it crashed you as you try that? Try that and see how outcome will be. That what I usually will do. Hopefully it will help you in some ways.
