has anyone ever gotten the 'cbuf insert text overflow' error when trying to activate their config file.
it just started happening to me and I have no idea what caused it.

Means your config is too large for the game to execute. Happened to me when I tried to cram all my client and server settings into one config.

Huh. Does that mean you can't bind a key to automatically spam "Mnsomc is the cool bro" 5 times per second for 5 hours?

It'll happen if you run your computer as a server - like doing a /map command.
Especially if you also have a stack of chat binds.
You can manually edit the jampconfig.cfg file and basically take out everything you don't recognise, leaving the key bindings and obvious graphic settings.
Note though that although it is a text file, it uses the format which has no linefeeds (unix style) so in notepad it may look like one long line. In which case try wordpad or download Notepad++

yeah i went into my jampconfig file and for some reason it had a lot of command lines added that weren't even necessary. no idea what was going on with that so it's working for now.

yeah for some reason my 'datashrine is cool guy and every else big poo poo loser dookie head' bind wasn't working and that was very important to me.
