So I've been practicing every day, every month and every year for the past four years, and I think now's the time to show you my fair imitation of John Willaim's the Imperial March.

Here it goes

Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum, Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum. Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum, Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum, Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum.

Hope it looks good, and thanks for reading

Tbh this is a very low quality cover. It's one thing to memorize the notes and rhythms, but it's another to play them with dynamics and feeling. See here, in the 5th measure, you just go "Dum Dum Dum", but you should be playing that starting at a piano and crescendo-ing up to a full forte. Remember that normal playing volume is mezzo forte, so really that bar should go something like this: "dum Dum DUM". If you really have been practicing for 4 years, then your technical ability on this song is probably pretty good -- but you have to remember that that's only part of the song. I would recommend extensive training in musical theory and improvisational work as well -- this will help with your sight reading and allow you to incorporate other musicians into your work on the fly. Once you have an ear for the basics there, you can really do some astounding things. Keep at it!

Thanks for your criticism, mm. I admit I am faulty, and I appreciate your detailed response. Truth be told, four years may not even be enough! I promise to take what you say to heart and patch up the rusty sides. Maybe I'll post again with a revised version, though doubtless the process of mastery will take quite a long while.

Haha, I remember hearing that criticism a lot back in my middle school days.

Lol. Sorry to bring up old criticisms, but I wouldn't know to say it if I hadn't heard it myself too!
