We elected a Nazi who will cater to one religion and damn all others. That's all I'm going to say. I'm ashamed of my country.
When things go downhill, I don't want to hear a single person who voted for him complain. You've made your bed. Lay in it.
Frog wrote:Well, America is now safe from drug and criminal infestation, taxes are lowered, gun rights are still in place, no wars with Russia now, abortion is going to be illegal, the common core math is no longer a factor, gay marriage is no longer allowed, and finally the senate is now made up of mostly Republican members, so for me I am quite happy and joyful, mostly due to the fact that Hiliary Beans is not president.
Did I mention I was a conservative?
Drugs and Crime are still gonna be there. Always have, always will.
In the eight years of Obama, there was never a call to eliminate the ability of people to buy guns. People just decided to flip over background checks that should be in place. In fact, the shortage of ammunition that everyone claimed was a sign of Obama taking them? It was a ploy by the Manufactures' to bring up the price of bullets. They've even admitted to it.
Trump can't do anything about gay-marriage because it was a Supreme Court decision. Those cannot be overuled except by a Constitutional Amendment or another ruling. Don't expect either of those to happen.
So having one party in charge of nearly everything is having a balance? That's what there's supposed to be. A balance between all parties. It's how the Founding Fathers set the system up.
I recognize that your beliefs in this are in part because of your religious beliefs, but consider this. How would you feel if a candidate were elected that was entirely anti-Christian. How would you feel? That's how all of us who aren't Christian feel because of Trump getting in. People have made it clear they don't care about any of us. He has numerous policies that are going to be affected directly by his attempts to please the Christian sect of the country, and I'm sorry, but that's not right whatsoever. Christianity is not the only belief in this country, and having a leader that is going to cater to that part of the population is sickening.
This country was founded on the idea of tolerance. Guess what? If you cater specifically to one religion while condemning a good many others, you're going directly against the ideals upon which the Constitution and Bill of Rights were founded upon. As a Wiccan, I'm just waiting for the day that the White House tells me I'm not allowed to practice my religion because 'I'm not Christian'.
After dealing with eight years of people not respecting Obama, don't expect the rest of us to respect Trump. I would just as soon spit in his face than give him a single ounce of respect.
That's all I have to say about that.
Oh, and for historical reference, the current-day Republican Party is the Democratic Party of the Civil War-era. Same damn thing.
