At times visitors on our server feel they have been the victim of "admin abuse". This is to qualify precisely how we exercise our admin. In fact, you may have been directed here to help you appreciate this.
The primary goal of KR is to have fun. We aren't focused on amassing members, and anyone aware of our recruiting procedures can't help but draw that conclusion. We aren't focused on becoming 1337 skilled players and dominating the game; you know you can play any game or sport, on the computer or away from it, and have fun without being a world-class competitor.
Our secondary goal, but just as important, is that everyone feels safe. On KR you should be able to feel safe without your race vilified, your religion denigrated, your politics insulted. We also want you to be able to feel safe standing around and not getting attacked unexpectedly.
Swearing makes some players uncomfortable and is mostly used to insult others. We also have visitors aged as young as 5. If you are incapable of communicating without swearing then you have bigger issues then the attention of KR's admin!
You are not required to have to fight, as some feel you must just because you came on (a duel is an exception, you have committed to fight and we expect you to fulfil that). This is why laming is not allowed. "But they have chat up, they can't be hurt" - that is called camping and there is no safe feeling in getting camped. No "friend" laming, instead teach them the our rules so others don't get confused. "But he lamed me first" - then use amsay, why get in trouble for his crime? There are no double standards and no compromise.
Now here is where fun comes in - fun can be had with someone, or at the expense of someone. The former is encouraged, the latter will not be tolerated with extreme prejudice. Therefore we look closely at the offender's attitude - if they are new and learning (and we should be so lucky) we have all the time in the world regardless of their mishaps - but if its some "pr0" trying to get in our face, then they will evoke a completely different reaction.
Note though, this observation of our rules: you actually have to go out of your way to break them. You have to be attacking someone verbally or physically to break them. You have to actually be attempting to deprive another player of their fun or sense of comfort. If you managed to read this far in and still disagree, then its a simple case of "we paid for this server and you don't need to understand rules, you just need to follow them".
KR was born out of a clan which was only 1 year old from the release of the game - and it was way back then (over 10 years ago) that these rules were decided upon. These are simple rules and fair, they have served us well and kept us strong, and won't be compromised for anyone.
