PC is taking the mechwarrior universe back! (My old name Tracker was the call sign I had in mechwarrior 4 mercenaries I just registered it.) This will be my new addiction in 2012 Hoping my clanmates from the Wolves of Fenris find me on there. In mechwarrior 4 mercenaries I was well known on 20 servers. I piloted a "light" or medium mech almost 100% of the time. I was known as the scourge of assault mechs. here i'd be in my mech between 25-45 tons traveling at max speed killing 100ton walls of armor and guns. My 3 favorite mechs are:

Oh forgot my sniper support mech the Uller

Edit to avoid double posting. I found my old mechwarrior clan some of them have returned here is my Bio I posted sooooo many years ago.

I am Tracker born before the Smoke Jaguar defeat on Stranamechty. Son of a Davion Armored infantryman and a Draconus Combine light mech, mechwarrior I was destined to be a little crazy. At the age of 7 I inheireted a Panther mech and begun training under my mother and her lancemates. I stayed up for days playing simulators and watching holo vids of past wars to perfect my skill. At the age of 15 my parents died in an attack from pirates. Alone without parrents I became a scout pilot for a mercenary company named "Hanson's Roughriders" under the comand of "Dead Eye" a catapult mechwarrior. We accomplised what at the time I thought was alot, till one mission where we were ambushed and "Dead Eye" ejected before he could teach us how to do so. Leaving us for dead we fought as hard as we could, I was the only survivor in a Jenner that had 2 lasers left. I lived because that jenner was too fast to catch. Later I read "Dead Eye" was wanted by the law, I thought good ridens and left the planet. I worked for various merc groups till I was 21. I became a solaris fighter for two years under light matches. I then realized now that the war was heating up mercs would be needed. So I searched for a merc group that had a good rep of never leaving a fallen warrior behind. I bought a Shadow Cat with my Solarris c-bills and began my search. I then heard of a merc group called the Wolves of Fenris and I liked their record in the MRBC and decided to meet them on a planet called Outreach. I waited with a passive radar watching as the Wolves slaughtered their opponents and helping those who were struggling with their enemy. They had wiped out the base when two stars of jade Falcon warriors powered up and began attacking the Wolves. I realized they couldn't take these forces alone and jumped into the fight to help them. Sniping at the clan mechs with a guass I entered the fray. Eight clan mechs were destoyed and two retreated then the Wolves turned on me low on ammo and out of weapons I powered down. Then on the coms came a comunication from one of the warriors named "Mapaf" and he said "You fight well wanna join the Wolves of Fenris?" I quickly agreed and found out the wolves never fight alone and were honorable in the field and out. I later became a Soul Corporal under a warrior named "Tiburon"

"As long an there is a moon that shines and throats to rip out the Wolves will never die!!!" Tracker - 3056

Mechwarrior is a Mecha based first person sim you can usually ride mechs (robots) from 15tons to 100 tons depending on the missiona nd your play style you might vary in your mech choice. I'm sure if you do a quick look you will find a legal free download of mechwarrior 4 mercenaries. That was the last game on pc. Microsoft bought the rights to mechwarrior after the Huge hit of mechwarrior 3 (by far the best interractive of the pc games) They made 3 mechwarrior 4 games trying to find the glory of mechwarrior 3. Then they tried to force all the MW fans into buying xbox's by releasing thier console games Mechassault 1 and 2. The games did okay but failed to bring true MW fans out of the pc world. Microsoft gave up and killed the franchise untill recently part of its orriginal company bought back the rights and is developing a new game. Mechwarriors are still out there playing HEAVILY modified versions of mechwarrior 4 merc. All modifications were done by fan based programmers and companies that didnt want the game to die.

I have every mechwarrior game including the strategy games and the boardgame this was all made from Battletech.

This trailer was released in 2009 it took them a bit to get legal matters taken care of but supposedly this is sort of what gameplay will be like. The giant mech with the skull head is an Atlas a 100 ton Iconic figure of death.

I hail back to the day when BattleTech was just a board game. I was playing that when they released CityTech, an expansion to the game where fighting took place in a city. I'd pretty much stopped by the time the Grey Death legion came out - I had grown up by then :P

I also remember playing the first MW game, you take a locust run around behind the enemy 'mechs and shoot their legs out! And also btech was a great game.

That's a mean looking demo.
