I was wondering if anyone here in KR is familiar with forex?
I am currently studying this subject in hope that I may make this my work. And yes, money do NOT come easy. Sure, you may luck out and get a jackpot, however in this business you need a will of iron and the balls to know when to stop, and when to keep going.

So I am here to ask if anyone else got experience with this, and would like to hear their story about it :)

I haven't done it and it is extremely dangerous. Far more risky then just blindly playing the stockmarket. That combined with the high overheads of the actual exchange. Almost all rates are set by world events that you have no control over and cannot foresee.

Yet, there are people that makes a living doing just this. Weird how it works, no?

Those are the people who have moved on from stockbroking, most likely have attained a degree in financial investments .... and thus didn't need to make a post like this; not so weird after all.

Everyone starts the learning process as a nub.

The point about attaining an education to the degree of bachelor of financial investment means that nub was trained by experts for several years, after which being employed by a financial services company to further expand on their nubness, thus making a non-nub who has the resources and experience to make money with forex. Also note at best they'd be pulling a 2 percent margin, which means you need a $100,000 portfolio to make it worthwhile. Its like reverse gambling, risking a lot of money to make a little, with safeguards.

You may find the odd genius who achieves this without all that effort, like a young guy who builds a fortune in suburban real estate or whatever. The point is if you are that person you would not be needing to ask this question in a forum first.

people Study this for years and years before doing any investment.

Study Market trends, study global economy (unpredictable as it can be).

These people do their homework for years and years and are likely as Jawfin says ex stock brokers.

Also again covered by Jawfin, you'd need a hell of a large investment capital for fees and etc you might be subject too prior to any profit you may take.
