Some might say: "Why fix somthing that isn't broken" --how often are you playing on the server? --and why should we -NOT- change it? Because... 'fewer' people might not-join? Hmm...

I dont have any objections to your statement of "why fix something that isnt broken". Although I dont think it need's fixing, just improving.

- I agree with you about the map cycle, if your talking about a normal ffa cycle, then that would be cool.

- To be honest, we only use custom maps for events. And sometimes we use them because we want a little fun. But generally they arent used much. So I dont think this is an 'issue'.

- No force? Meaning? No jump? No heal and drain? - Personally regarding force I would have it, no heal, no drain. Only saber attack, offense and force jump.

- I completely agree with you. I think running for heal-packs during FFA is much better then holding the heal button. At least it gives someone a chance to kill you, and you arent fighting until someone lands a good hit or someone runs in and gets a lucky DFA.

- The '€€€€€€€€' in the server name is to put the server at the top of the list. Although personally this technique has lost its touch because most JKA players sort by number of players. Nevertheless, I think we should keep a few of the €'s so maybe it reads something like '.............-[KR]-' in the server list, rarther then '........................' as it is now.

- Regarding the JSU or similar servers config. We cant actually get any of the major JA+ settings for obvious reasons. Although we can actually get the server cvars. So having a look at them might be an idea.

- I was also thinking about possibly updating the server version to JA+ 2.3. I know that the slay and punish commands disappear, but other then that, not alot has changed, and when I think about it how often do I use slay or punish? - Personally, hardly ever.

The only server I've got on my list is the KR ones, and every time I feel like joining in (which isn't very often, probably once every few days) it's empty and I just... do something else. So, attracting more people would be nice, if just for me =P

So:
-Yes to get rid of force healing.
-Custom maps.. I see them used, just don't know how regularly. Perhaps Aki's point is that they're used too often? Dunno, please clarify.

Here is my suggestion: Disable voting (if enabled..) remove ammap from everyone but council... let the map cycle go from mp/ffa1 -5

Enable health/armor pickups

Copy the cvars from a popular server (like (JAWA) ,JSU or mY)

i would also surgest to search for a power full ally like jsu or other strong clan wich atracts more ppl...

and the [E] clan i never see them on our server...

allow force jump/ attack/ defense (diasble heal and drain)

getting some bots in game wich will be named after -[KR]-pietje or -[KR]-jan so it would look like there are ppl playing and them wehn ppl see more and more ppl co ming they join :roll:

I do occasioanlly try to pop on but it is unfortunateley empty..

Also its always on that annoying map.

That's because Jedi Academy is dying, and the only people who play now are the competitive types. You're probably not gonna find a great deal of a good people to come on the server anymore unless you become a TFFA clan or join a large pub server like JSU -- which I don't recommend because even most of the TFFA clans and public servers are full of assholes. I hate to say it, but this is really the time in which clans would snap (not that I think KR would, because you're all very resilient people) due to the lack of new people on, and the lack of old people on because of real-life testing and what not. I imagine this will pass in the next month or so, so don't worry about it. Although I think if you're going to add map cycle, leave voting on.

Tricky, personally I think we are all aware of the issues you have raised although I dont think its really relevant at the present stage.

But so far, server wise I think most people agree:

- Enable hp packs and shields.
- Disable ammap command for knights.
- Set up a ffa rota cycling through the ffa maps. - Ill work on one of these :)
- Disable heal and drain.

Leave voting on, though. That's the only thing I don't like, everything else is fine.

i think the server is fine....its just what we do with it....like the people over at TFO i think...they have a happenin place..but only because they have alot of fun...they change the gravity and stuff spaawn alot...make it so the players are having fun..also...as for the map cycle....i dun like that idea because alot of people hate being in the middle of sumtina nd then the map changing on them...

I don't remember seeing you on the server for like... XXX-days.

And who is 'people' and 'players'? I've never meet them.
The KR server is --->u n a c t i v e.
Let's see how long it takes before anyone does anything to change the server instead of just talking about it.

Lemme lay it out for you Aki.
JSU sucks. I hate them and I hope they all die.

If being assholes and admin abusers is what it takes to keep a server full, then I'd rather quit.

And another thing. People don't look for servers at the top of the list.
They look for the server with the most players.
So I don't see why we bother.

Back in the days when the server was loaded with people 24/7, which also was the point of my picture. "I remember the good old days (when there were people instantly on the server)..."

Effects = lag.
Triggers like teleports and stuff = lag.
Current KR server = Lag as default--

Also, people (pwners) hate playing on server with un-needed effects and addons.

Keep lugor and JA+ for themselfs. If i wanted to play lugormod i would have gone to a lugormod server, not KR.

I would like to clarify that Lugormod effect ect do not add to any lag , why? because the textures are simply loaded locally. it makes no difference,

I can understand any one to not like lugormod for the reasons and differences

How do you explain the ping difference (and yes, its noticeable) when the server uses FFA3 -with- wierd Lugormod addons and when the -same server- (some days.. very random) does not use it?

Well to answer your question aki, without pm of corse. i have lugormod, and ive used it on my test server, replacing models or remapshaders do not increase your ping, and all people that have been in my server have not had there ping skyrocket. not even a tad.

As for teleports and stuff they dont lagg, infact i have completely re-done the jedicouncil gcx map without no lag, added effects and telelports and everyone has the same ping as they started with default jedicouncilgcx.

Its the server omn kr that is the problem. we have ours from the exact same company and i bet we have a 50 minise ping difference. on kr i recieve 150+ and on are server its below a hundred. its hosted in america also which is a shock.

If you have had personal expierience with lugormod then you must have been on a bad server. cause the effects increase computer lag not net lag.
