No idea if this was ever posted before, but for everybody who is struggling for FPS or Ping, read this and try it out!

I managed to lower my ping from cca 200 to cca 170 =) That's a nice result. Tried out some FPS commands and now I can play the biig maps with a really decent FPS.

Before applying these commands in your console to see if they help you, I strongly suggest you save your current configuration with something like: -
/writeconfig backup
or
/writeconfig yournamehere (eg. "/writeconfig jawfin" for me)

Also, connection settings (i.e. ping) are not standard across the board (especially rate, snaps, com_maxfps [which is a connection setting despite what that guide says] and cl_maxpackets) and should be tailored to you specific connection type and even distance from the server. Settings like cl_timenudge should not be fiddled with unless you understand exactly what it does.

From my experience and my distance from the server I've become somewhat an expert in this field, specifically tailoring your settings from what your cg_lagometer is telling you (both fps and ping).
