First off i'd like to state the obvious, hello Knights Reborn, i'm Sabre. I've been playing this game for quite a few years, or at least, used to. I played JK2 when it came out all the way through to when JKA came out in a clan called The Order. Now, this clan kind of 'died off' after a year or so in JKA, scattering it's players to the wind and leaving the community to go find their place in other games. Well, I did that, but I still had the hankering to light-saber a few faces off, so I decided to come back here. And you are the community I chose to bug! Feel special! ^^ Kidding.
But seriously, I am here with a few ideas for the clan such as custom maps that my clan used to use. I've shown these maps to Gospel and Necros (I think) and Gospel seemed thrilled with them, so I am just looking for a kind of confirmation here if you guys actually want to check them out. If not, I'll stay quietly in the dark as an annoying new player that wants everyone always to be on team speak, but if you guys would like to look through them and possibly add them to the server, I'll post the links to the downloads. I also have a multitude of custom skins all compiled in an index page, all that can be usable by the community and I do vouch for most of them as some of the best skins I've seen grace JK2 and JKA. So, if you guys would like to see them, just give me a kind of 'hoorah' on this thread and I'll be sure to post the links to the websites.
I'd also like to speak briefly about a few ideas I have for 'events' (of sorts) in the KR1 server. This is the only one I frequent because honestly it's the only one I know about.. but most of the time when I am there, I notice a bit of dueling going on, but most of the time the KR members are standing around or doing a small FFA. (No offense intended, not trying to say KR is lazy or anything ^_^;; ) But there are two ideas that my old clan used to use a lot, one of them being an LMS and the other doing simple 2 on 2 duels. I'll explain the LMS in a moment, but the 2on2 is just something you would do in a closed off room so there wouldn't be much disturbance and either do a 2on2 or a 2on1. Trust me, both are great practice for the game in general. Now I know, with the maps on the KR1 server there aren't many 'closed off rooms' but with almost all of the custom maps I might be posting, they all have closed off rooms designed almost specifically for these kinds of duels.
LMS: Last Man Standing.
This event is rather simple and with enough cooperative and competent players it's very easy to pull off. Someone announces it, simply stating the when and where of the event. So, simply saying in chat "LMS in the courtyard in 2 minutes, everyone gather there." Would be the notifier. The participants all are instructed to stand in a big circle and the announcer counts down the last five seconds before starting it off. It's a giant FFA with only 1 life, if you die you stay out of the circle and off to the side. When there are just 2 players left, they engage in a duel, where the winner is announced the winner of the LMS. No real trophy, but a real nice badge, of sorts, to have, knowing you bested everyone involved. It's a simple thing to run and it can be very fun if it's done correctly. While there might be a few problems with people running in and interrupting, typically it can be sorted out quickly with a kick of a sleep of the intruding player.
But yes. That is all I have to offer, that and my personality. ^_^ So I leave you with these ideas members of KR. Please instruct me and let me know if they are wanted or if I'm just babbling. xD On a side note, it's nice to see an actual community again. JKA is filled with all kinds of small communities that are.. hectic.. that's a nice word to use for them. ^^
