Lol, I just remembered this song I have by TISM
TISM - Old Man River wrote:I'm on the drug, I'm on the drug
I'm on the drug that killed River Phoenix

I saw his body thrashing 'round
I saw his pulse rate going down
I saw him in compulsive throws
I said "I'll have one of those"

Hilary had, Hilary had
Hilary had it in his veins

Hilary had Everest in his veins
Armstrong did moon, was not the same
Heroes explore to give us hope
River pushed back the envelope

Drank the slab, drank the slab
Drank the slab that Bon Scott drunk

I drank the slab that Bon Scott drunk
I injected some of Hendrix's junk
I booked a seat on Lynyrd Skynyrd's plane
Mama Cass' sandwich? I ate the same

Now I'm bored, now I'm bored
Now I'm bored and there's no stoppin'

Now I'm bored and there's no stoppin'
I need another celeb to fill a coffin
Where will I get my next drug action?
Odds on it'll be Michael Jackson

I'm on the drug that killed River Phoenix
I'm on the drug
Sorry if thats tasteless :S

Shame

Easily one of the most talented singers and performers of our generation.

There will probably never be another MJ if not at least for several generations.

biggest shame is his legacy will be tarred with his behaviour and law suits of child molestation despite being equitted.

Actually I agree with Mel

On a serious note MJ was a big part of my music life as I was growing up, when he was still black. To see him do the moon walk (on video!) for the first time was simply jaw-dropping. He pioneered so many aspects of music, with his rise through Motown and he just changed everyone's perception of music videos - with Beat it, Billie Jean and as Warr mentioned Thriller - simply ground breaking stuff. Not to mention being an extremely skilled dancer

*cough*cough* lol, as with Sen, I was never too big of a fan, but I do know what he used to be, and how he changed the music industry, especially in the area of music videos, before him, music videos had no plot and were mostly just the people singing with a sunset. Now they have stories and are much more artistic!

Now MJ really is in Neverland, flying with Peter Pan

(that or he turned into that creature he was in Thriller and is parading about eating children)

edit: man do I want a red jacket like his.

I was born on the edge of probably where things were going wrong for him..

I know mum dad and Chantelle all knew and grew up with him..

A lot of people who are younger than me (born Jan 1990) Will have always known him as strange behaving or with allegations hanging over his head.

However most people who are older on this entire planet than me whether or not they liked MJ as a person would have known his music and I bet majority of them enjoyed at least one of his tracks.

Also apparently on thriller video / film did you know all the dancers are professional spent weeks rehersing and perfecting it.. MJ looked at it a few times and shot , he knew it he got it.

There is a lot of divided opinion about what he did or didnt do

I was born 1981, bought up with him when he was at th his peak..

My heart tells me to believe in his innocence as a broken man..

We all love his greats from Thriller and Bad etc

But Ill leave you this

A legacy to MJ

Funny thing to a lot of older generation they were bought up with Elvis and how great he was.. TO me and most of you he was always dead.

As you have seen posted by Melissa , I have a new born son who was actually due on 25th the day he died (he was early of course)

To him MJ will always have been dead.

There will never be another Elvis

There will definatley never be another MJ.

Excluding the bad publicity in his final years, the man was one of a kind and will be missed. I wasn't really a fan but I must say that his dancing was beyond compare.
