quite possibly the most hilarious news report ive seen XD

some person, as a protest to our crumbling economy in the good US of A, printed and distributed 10,000 copies of a fake 'Zero Dollar Bill'

i more or less get the protest, but the funniness of it is just too unbareable XD

Interesting paradox really.

An artistic statement about the failing economy. She printed the bills out, much like our own government is doing right now, and passing them out on wall street, much like our government will be doing shortly.

The government's dollar value is gonna drop because of this and maybe to where the dollar isn't worth the paper it is printed on. (therefore a zero dollar)

However the paradox comes in to the price of art. Art is whatever anyone is willing to spend on it. So if something sells for $100,000 than its worth is $100,000.

Here she is passing it out for free, but she only has a limited number of supply. So now the fundamentals of the economy come into play - "Supply and Demand"

Since she is an artist, someone could sell their 0 dollar, on ebay for example, and turn a profit (really selling it for any price that's not free is a profit.)

Therefore she is accomplishing something this government could only wish they could - Turning nothing into something :)

So in the end, her 0 dollars could be worth some serious buck if one so chooses to buy, and she is making the double artistic statement of: The economy is an Art Form. (haha)

Yay art.

I went to an art school...what'd you expect.

A serious question is the US government giving the option for wall street traders to buy back the shares when the economy improves?

While I am not a big liker of Gordon Brown I do think he has done a good model which wont stop the rutt but will help banking systems long term.

I think Bush has decided to adopt what Browns done over here, He is using a similar model to funding banks to help kick start the bank lending process again.

But its going to help some at least, FTSE is up two days running.. Your never going to completeley sort it out over night but may help some recovery.
