[Falcon]

Well, as we all know (maybe) Star Wars: Force Unleashed came out today. I, being the Star Wars nerd that I am, went out and bought a copy as soon as time allowed me to. Me and Nec played it pretty much all day.

Pretty much, heres the breakdown of the game:

- new, awesome force powers such as force pulse and lightning shield
- great new combos with the force powers and your weapons (you can channel force lightning into your lightsaber)
- customizable lightsaber color: you start off with red, but can acquire crystals throughout the gameplay environment to make it different colors. theres pretty much every color (including black) and variations of these colors
- customizable character (kinda): the character you are for the majority of the game is the same and you cannot change him, but as you complete missions, you acquire new outfits for him to wear and can change these at any time
- awesome graphics
- decent plot
- retarded bosses
- gets old after a while
- awesome interactive grapples
- rdfa is back!

So yeah, we haven't beat it, but we will soon. So thats it. (nec, if you have anything to add, feel free to)

Hmm....additions...additions....JUNK BOTS FREAKING SUCK MAJORLY!!!! Ugh, for anyone who plays the game, you will find out on the second level. Freaking evil lil buggers.

But yea, it's a very good game. Definitely focused more on force powers than saber, even if you can channel awesomeness into it. You can even kill rancors with your ubar 1337 h4x pwnage skills. Seriously, Fal and I had to get buckets for our fanboy/girl drool after the first kill. Other than that, it gets pretty old pretty fast, but I'm sure we'll probably get together again tomorrow or something and just go back to fighting cuz that's just the kind of nerds we are.

I have to say I am not blown away by the graphics at all.

The game to me feels very.. arcady..

How is the combat compared to JA?

The combat is definately almost completely force based. There's no skill in saber at all so in that aspect, it's lacking. But if you want to start duels to see who can throw each other through the most stuff and off a cliff first, then Force Unleashed is perfect for that ^^

Nec is right. You only have very basic attacks as far as melee lightsaber attacks go. As nec said, this game is focused more on the force than on your skills with a lightsaber. Jedi Academy has 3 different sabers, and different styles for each saber as we all know. Force Unleashed does not. A bit lacking in this area if you ask me. Definitely not meant to be a multiplayer game much to the dismay of myself and I'm sure many other KR.
