It might be the fact that I can't understand what their saying, but I do prefer bands that actually sing down the mic, rather then talk. Also Green Day never regarded themselves as punk, it was either "Pop Punk" or "Rock".
=P listen to their old stuff pho, and then compare and contrast it to their music now.
I think you missed the point of my post. I just hate it when I hear the word "wannabe"- I mean here's Green Day who have sold millions of records worldwide and have made a fortune, then theres this apparent "real punk" band that i've never even heard of.
I mean as I said before at the end of the day, music is music, in my opinion if I like a track i'll download it and listen to it. The genre of the music is completely irrelevant- it's purely personal taste.

Well idk where did you hear Green Day didn't consider themselves as in Punk genre but thats cool, its your opinion
. And to be honest, =p I can't seem to understand why in Europe like Germany, Poland, France, english music sounds like singing but when it comes to people's reviews like from United States or England, our singing doesn't actually sound like we're singing but talking :/. I don't know, Im not trying to offend anyone by this but I'm just curious why is that.
