Recently, a hacker by the name of padawan got on today and flamed and lamed a lil, and shortly after him getting on, the server was flooded by a hacker, at first we weren't sure if it was him, but after it started saying the names signed in with the same IP as padawan, we knew it was him.
he ignored dyyor pretty quicly after he lamed and flamed and dyyor flashed his binds and then was slept and silenced.

but i think it's related to the event that happened in this thread, (or at least it might of been this time). For the person that was on wasn't using his real name, but had the same IP as messiah, and he was on for awhile and lamed a bit and eventually threatened to hack, well.. a couple minutes later the server was flooded.

Since then it's happened a couple of time, though i never payed attention to who was on, next time i will..
but i'm just thinking that maybe it's still messiah or whoever it was getting on and bugging us, because he just doesn't like us. he almost seemed like he was on b4.

Edit: Minutes Later, guy comes in as o=Adam=o , server floods again, we investigate.

I doubt it as the server was full of hacked players when I went to it

And after I typed in the IP to ban them they all disappeared.


It's possible Kenshin what you said though...it is...possible...

but like I said, I doubt it...like 100%

if you use wildcards do you ban his network range

i.e - 82.195.***.***.

Unless they paid for static or was given it.. most isps use a pool ip scope.

Nah I didnt range ban him. I was about to join the server when I saw that, firstly no one was on, and secondly that there were 32 fake players on.

So I grabbed their IP, as it was all the same IP, and banned it.

Then I came here on the forums and saw that this might have been a problem earlier.

I dont remember the IP completely but it did start with 70.

star normal baned them also. then they came back with diffrent i.ps ( then star ranged ban)

Just wanted to add a comment here,
I've noticed that some of the other Jk3 servers are asking players not to use the name 'padawan' and if they do not change it asap they are kicked.
not sure why or if it will help here.

Simply answered.
On the KR server we try our best to nurture the first time experience of new players to JKA.
If someone new comes onto our server and doesn't know how to change there name its just not fair if their kicked.

also just wan add a point into darkos post.: other servers has the no padawan rule, mainly because if 2 or more people names padawan are on. and one lames.. u cant find out which one to punish unloess u actually saw it.

anyway :locked: its been sorted ^_^
