I'd like to see this for the Mac. Ha-ha. I'd play it, as well. I'm not the biggest KOTOR fan, but that's because I thought it would be better as an MMO. :P

I think if Kotor 3 was MMO it would be bad.. not saying a MMO based on KOTOR woudl be bad but KOTOR 3 would be bad as MMO..

Kotor was about the storyline, about you as a person and what you coudl do your choice and the way people you travelled with was affected

MMOs are just lame story games often with kids using stupid words like "pwn"

I don't.

I'll use World of Warcraft as an example. It continues the basic story line of the "Warcraft" games and books (Humans Vs. Orcs, Alliance Vs. Horde, Demons Vs. Everybody else).

Thus would be the case for KOTOR.

 #25538  by Chantelle

World of warcraft?

I rest my case

 #25543  by Orange

What case? The only thing you said that even made sense was "annoying kids who say pwn all the time". I say that in Single-player
all the time (although I'm not technically a kid).

 #25544  by Chantelle

I mean world of war craft is enough reason for KOTOR 3 itself to never be online..

Weak story line inability to encapsulate..

and teh people you play with etc

A SW MMO good idea.. but KOTOR 3... no... KOTOR success was built on its model and game design plus its storylines and your abilty to customise teh state of play and how teh game went

You woudl lose all that in an MMO version of it.

 #25550  by Orange

The way KOTOR is set up almost makes it like a Single-player version of SWG...just different story lines.

MMO = Customization and design! I don't know what you're smoking.

I never said KOTOR 3 should be an MMO, but they should base an MMO off of the KOTOR series.

 #25587  by Soulreaper

hmm i have a batter idea they try and make an mmo almost as secsesful as SWG before gay NGE (New game experience) and then they charge 15$$ as usual and they would get more people cause there is no other mmo like a star wars 1 can be, if they make a KOTOR 3 to me single player games suck its all bout online play to me

Yes you did 1st post

I am not smoking anything

mmo does not equate to my point which seems to have slipped you past, you failed to realise that kotor takes it at your own personal level and the environment around you.

having a bunch of kids around you using cursing and a weak haneded storyline is hardly the basis of the deisgn

I was merely saying KOTOR 3 shoudl enevr be MMO as its design and model would be ruined.

 #25602  by Melissa

If KOTOR 3 is made

It should never be an online game

KOTOR build its reputation on its own values... MMO would degenerate that.

Read carefully. I said "I'm not the biggest KOTOR fan, but that's because I thought it would be better as an MMO."

Should I break down that post for you, or can you do it yourself? I'll go ahead and do it and save the hassle. When I said that, no where did I mention KOTOR 3. I was merely saying I'd like to see a MMO game based off the KOTOR series. Sorry if you misinterpreted it, but I know what I meant. Not putting words in my mouth would be appreciated.

What part don't you understand that MMOs take you at your own pace and level. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE THE SAME LEVEL AS EVERYBODY ELSE! YOU DON'T NEED THE SAME ARMOR, SAME SKILLS, ET CETERA. I'M TYPING IN CAPS LOCK SO THAT YOU MAY GET THE POINT.

What a load of tosh

You said you thought KOTOR would have been better as MMO... there is a very good chance someone could have taken it like that. I still think thast what you meant also

It was a debate, but low and behold as per the recent previous you have to go and act all over protective therefore you resrot to talking stupid again..

What on earth has that got to do with anything???? Sod all!! Stop the cap dramatics, you embarrassing yourself. The point was to why KOTOR wouldn’t make a good MMo was because KOTOR has built its reputation and success on what it already does. That’s all we were all saying, calm the hell down child.

Anyone would have thought she didn’t want to buy a Mac!

I find it ironic how he is getting extremely aggitated towards me and not understand his point when the entire debate has gone over his head.

We were talking about KOTOR and he refuses to talk about it and goes off into a tangent and starts to get a little bit condescending thinking he is clever.

I am more than aware of how MMOs work since I have them and played them. What is your point? What does that have to do with anything?

I was saying kotor worked well in the PS environment as you and only you as the player had the influence on all aspects of the game, the relationships with team and the out come also how you dealt with achieveing your missions etc.. And the story adapts also. That would be lost in MMO.. that’s all I was saying .. Responded with condescending posts which I was embarrassed to read.

Fair enough if you have a point I will listen to it.. although you have failed to make yet which is relevant and without perhaps prejudice. But you have to be prepared to reciprocate that. You cannot go through life throwing your rattle out of the pram everytime someone differs in opinion. Which you have done not only on this thread but others also.

Now if you wish to discuss in an adult manner that is fine, However I suggest an administrator or moderator lock this thread as I do not see that forthcoming.

I'm sorry. I could have sworn I was talking to Chantelle. I don't need a 3rd party "twin" coming in. Okay, and thanks. :)

Anyways; I agree with the whole "locking the topic" thing. I always seem to find myself some trouble.

(P.S. - I've seen your point(s). Maybe the reason I don't acknowledge them is for the same reason as my point(s) to you. ;) )

So this is a public forum

I dont care if your talking to her or anyone else, I didnt like the way you spoke.

 #25632  by Chantelle

Yet you continue to talk condescending??

What we were trying to say is our points were relevant

How can I ackowledge what your saying??? its not even topical?? It has absolutley nothing to do with it.

Do not get me wrong your more than entitled to your opinion even though you have yet to really make one which is relevant.. But why do you think it is acceptrable to talk in such a negative manner to people when tehy express theirs.. It is down right rude.

ps Melissa and I are like chalk and cheese, seldom we agree or have a similar view point outlook on things..

I dont mind discussing thinsg with you but knock off this clever smart ass , it doesn't wash with me and your making a fool of yourself.

You're entitled to your opinions as well, as I can see we both use ours quite a bit.

I'm sorry if I come off with a bad 'vibe' (as I've said plenty of times), but I'm probably a little bipolar.
