Hello everyone!
I tried to install games as JKA and F.E.A.R. , but everytime i start setup one error appears . I have no idea how to fix it ='( I would want to ask you all, if someone of you knows about that problem and a possible way how to fix it, please.

Save it to your desktop and double click on it. After you have run the tool- delete it and try running your game again

where does this message appear? blue stop screen or within explorer..

if you open control panel and administrator tool and check event viewer.. could you post the message relating to this in event viewer... even give a screen shot of the box

Sounds to me from the code search is a permissions problem somewhere, what level of access is your account.

Normal user level.
After searching 2 hours on internet some good way to fix it, i found :

Yeah i'll go on, ok I ran cmd and at the command prompt I typed in "at time /interactive cmd.exe" replace time with a valid time either 1 or 2 minutes ahead for example its 12:00 so I'd use 12:01, at the time you specify a command prompt console will appear, this is no normal command prompt it has system rights and if you browse to the install package you are trying to run and run it then it should install fine, there could be an issue if the program that you install needed the permissions that it needed for the install but you'll probably be ok, it worked for me anyway

Other people told it helped them, but i have problem that i do not know where to get to command prompt and what exactly to do. Could someone explain it to me in easier English, please?

ahh so it was permissions!!!

to get into command prompt

press START | RUN

in the box type

cmd

press return

then type in as he said at time /interactive etc

After writing at time /interactive cmd.exe i see some options, but they do not work, always = wrong command . I have changed my type of profile to Administrator level... I have tried other things that people suggested on other pages ( deleting runtime folder, updating InstallShield ). I found that some told about checking Full Control of C:Windows/Installer in Properties/Security Tab/System , but i do not have such option in any explorer i have on computer... HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software control option i do not have either... My windows is Windows XP Home Edition SP2. Do someone have please any other ideas?

you wont have "security" tab on XP home as NTFS security permissions do not occur there..

i think it means

in CMD (black command box)

type withour " marks

"at 12:00/interactive "

but you need to change the time not 12:00 to a few minutes ahead of your current time

Ok, as i understand i close CMD after it and wait till the time, he wrote there shall a new console appear. At me appears nothing. The same error all the time -_-. Even if it has to be opened, i see no changes.

Thank you all a million =) I did it by my way, after thinking i am deep in the hole, i got an idea, tried this idea and now i install JKA and F.E.A.R. , just like no error ever appeared ^^ You were right in the start, it was the permissions error, by regeditor i changed Full Control everywhere on users.

Well, i am in 5th mission in F.E.A.R. It is hell of a great game, because it is mostly realistic with shots, wounds etc of enemy.. Much blood i like aswell... Just one bad thing in F.E.A.R. that i do not like is the GIRL, that sometimes teleports me to strange rooms or run in front of me with laugh or even go against me with explosion behind her . I am getting all mods and sabers i had in my last JKA, so i am going to be very very soon on server ^^ I hope to get all till Evening.

Cant play JKA, because any of the 1.01 patches for JKA3 doesnt want to install.. All the time tells that my version is already up to date, but when i try to connect to KR server, it tells me that i have to update my version to 1.01 -_-
