Okay heres something for maybe a healthy discussion..

Based on places you have been too preferably, and I guess second would be a proper traditional resutrannt where do you think is the best food in the world.

I have tried food from alot of european countries, across the atlantic and I do really love most asian foods..

However I have to say for me it is a toss up between Indian or Greek.

Indian food or cuisines I just love and I like em hotter and less creamy.

However I do like the Balti which is actually British not indian although I wouldnt say Britain is near my top fav for food (being british myself that is).

Greek food however (tried in greece far nicer than back home) was/ is absolteley amazing..

Yup,

Both

Balti and Chicken Tikka Masala are both English... although personally Id still classify it as Indian.

I also woudl say greek on the many times I ate there.. It is quite something special.

Also I like French, in Paris I got a cheap 3 course meal and it was amazing..

I Like Indian and some Thai and mexican too.

Proper and I mean proper Italian food (not butchered editions or localised editions) is very nice.

I quite Agree with you on Gordon Ramsey! I like the way he wont go all flash and do something almost simple yet fanstastic sometimes..

They have an all you can eat Chinese just 3 mile from my house.. Usually resulting in me hardly being able to walk after it..

What sort of gourmet?

What was so bad with African food? (havent tried it as such) what was it like ... and where was it from

Well looks pretty conclusive to me then.. Its

Greek and Chinese the winners with Indian and a la Carte behind..

I don't think anyone could argue with that to be honest.

What is Balkan food exactly.. elaborate.

Dont get me wrong I like Fish n chips and Pizza.. (well Proper Italian Pizza I find UK and USA style pizzas are complete rubbish), I also like chicken kebab et

But I think they are trashy foods if you get my meaning.

Its nice if you manage to try proper cuisne from chinese restrurant than sometimes a greasy take away .. not critising just ya know offering my tupence :).

I was sort of originally meaning non take away style

so if you like chinese i never meant specifically the greasy take away more the style or proper food.. although I do like the greasy tak away.
