I wasn't aware of that rule John. Ty for letting me know. I appreciate CM offering to train with me but now I have to think this over. To be frank, before I was inactive, I was at Guardian. Then I did return and was all the way back to student and a couple others went inactive as Knight and returned as a Knight again. Idk why but it happened.
But as I said I need to think this over. If in the meantime CM wants to train someone else, he can do so if he wishes. I don't want anyone to be held back while I consider this.

To help answer your question Lurch the returning rank is dependent on how long the member was away and, just quietly, at what skill level they have retained upon their return.
In your instance the skill level wasn't relevant as you've been away from the clan for almost 10 years! If it were under a year rank would have been restored, then under 2 we'd be looking at the skills; but any longer and it really does have to be back to student - I hope you can appreciate the processes of our thinking.
Also note you are currently Jedi - meaning if you did start over you are only 3 weeks away from getting that rank back (dependent upon your master approving you're ready for the trial). It also does mean that time is without admin.
