Funny thing, I actually watched this literally 2 minutes after it was released. For a fan film. I say, it wasn't bad!

Production quality and script was surprisingly good. I wish SWT had decided to invest his time and money into a original story, though, and this is a trap most fan movies and fan stories in general fall under: The obsessive attachment to the source material keeps the stories from being interesting to me anymore. Everything from the cinematography ( Vader's first scene and the Naboo establishing shot, ripped straight from Rogue One, Palpatine tempting Vader to kill him, reminiscent of the Last Jedi ), to the script ( Solely relying on prequel and OT material to function ), to the choreography ( Rogue One ) lacks originality, and I think the whole " Epic " take on star wars that fans seem to enjoy would be far better suited well away from the saga or even outside of star wars alltogether.

Not to derail this topic, but this video is relevant to my point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rt9l7WdHEZ0 One of the very few fan films that focus solely on human emotion and dialogue. This drips with maturity and density, and is the complete opposite of most others, and, indeed, this film. The entire video is just one location, three different cameras, one CGI reveal, and three characters. Its astounding and easily my favorite.

Vader isn't on either extreme, but it could be better. I'll definitely support it, though. The devotion Star wars Theory has to star wars is pretty admirable and worth getting behind

I really enjoyed it. The scene with those mini-gun troopers was really bloody cool, then Vader just uses the force to stop it. Unfortunate that it was a dream moment. I would really like a complete fan fiction changing the canon and having a new story. I.e. Vader overthrowing Palpatine and taking the Empire as his own.
