Just wondering if anyone knows any good online bike shops, preferably UK based, since i dont fancy importing from the US due to extortionate (wow, i used a big word XD) shipping costs that these people like to give you.

Cause yea, today me and a couple of mates went to some woods, two of us went round a trail there while the other one timed it, halfway round there a big gorge sort of thing bout two foot deep and it had pretty steep sides, so the idea is you approach it and bunny hop onto the opposite side and pedal up the rest, however this time, since we were trying to do it quickly, i came down the hill a bit too fast maybe, hopped onto the otherside and hit it with enough force to hear my suspension reach the end of the fork and clang, we got to the end to discover i had probably burst my inner tube, oopse XD but we did it in 1 min 57 secs, not bad ;)

so anyways i had to walk my bike home, got bored and tried to cycle it back instead, buggered it more, and that is the sad story of how i broke my bike today :(

anyways like i said, if any of you know any good sites, please help :D

well me and pho are going up to halfords at some point soon since the one in our town is small and is closing down, there was a cyclemart.. until the owner commited suicide ¬_¬ theres a place called tibbs cycle shop but since my bro brought his bike from there and the brake cable has snapped three times i wouldnt trust them and thats about it i think... well at least for decent bikes, but i just wanted to look around more than anything, buying online isnt always bad ;)

I had a look online, but to be honest I think Argos are normally pretty good.. or a specialised Cycle shop for about £100 you can get one with most what you want

I don't know much about bikes...

I can only suggest googling which is the obvious one.
I googled and found plenty of shops, some of the bikes were like £1000 ..

If your gonan spend that much on a bike you might aswell save extra and get a car.

yea exactly, me and pho may go out today to go searching ^.^

I thought it was odd because when I went looking they were all very expensive..

thats why i suggested Argos, I think the same with a normal bike shop..

I didnt realise that they could get up to taht sort of price.

well when you start getting to prices of £500+ you know that those ar emore for people who are dedicated bikers who are more than likely going to enter competitions or need an incredibly reliable bike.

anyway, me and pho went out today and we looked in halfords and another shop which were both pretty good, so i think ill be getting a new bike hopefully within a week cause i kinda need one :P

thanks anyway chan and mel (and grimm a little bit ;))
