Linkin Park was a huge musical inspiration to me as a child and a teenager. They were the first "real band" I was ever in to and really paved the way for me to get into more music. They also inspired me to become a musician and sparked my love of music. This man's voice was the voice that helped me through my teenage years when it felt like my family and friends wanted nothing to do with me. I owe so much of myself to Chester and his bandmates.

I can't even believe this has happened. I pray for his family, especially his 6 children.

Goodbye Chester. And thank you.

"I tried so hard and got so far but, in the end it doesn't even matter. I had to fall to lose it all, but in the end, it doesn't even matter." - Linkin Park

R.I.P. :(

This is sad to hear, although Linkin Park was not a great inspiration to me, I always liked their content. Made for great anime music videos(that was the bomb for me a few years ago!). No matter how much people made fun of it in recent years, I'll always appreciate it.

Also you are a musician Fal? This might sound odd but I would not expect you to be the type. The more you know!

Loved Linkin Park so much and still do. It makes me sad this had to happen and I wish his family the best.

I'm sure he'd be happy to hear he had such an impact on your life Fal, he was an inspiration to many and will definitely be remembered as such.

Very sad to hear, though I never really listened to Linkin Park that much. I'm a big fan of classic rock - the deaths of well known musicians like Prince and David Bowie had a similar effect. We all grow up idolizing something, and it seems so permanently etched onto our world that it's a surprise when we're reminded it's not.
