Ok sure Meta. Before I going ahead, I will outline the questions to ensure what kind are you using, and other things that can be the reasons why it doesn't works:

1) Are you using steam or CD version for Star War Jedi Knight Jedi Academy?
2) Do you use Openjk to get in JKA, or do you use jamp?

Openjk doesn't works with any kind of utility just like how jamp is. Openjk was created probably few years ago by support with razor or others who developed of that If my memory serve me well. Utilities do not have a code that can supported or fix for Openjk. Maybe this is the reasons why it have no response to Openjk

The only way if you want ultra utility to be working is by using jamp, or what you regular use to get on jka. Also, if you are getting on jamp as 'run as admin', try to do the same for the UU, so that would be able to works. If you doing this in different way, then that probably be the other reasons why it won't response. I just learn something new as well after figure these out.

Hope this help you in some ways, Meta. If not, then post here what the error said, then I'll see what other ways to think of.

It should bring up a option to Launch Jedi Academy or Advanced...
Now, here is my list of recommendations.
1: Run UU as Administrator
2: Get rid of OpenJA
3: Click on " Advanced " and connect to the server IP, in this case KR's, which is,

BFUU is not compatible with OpenJK.

You may try jams, but no guarantee, I just know jams uses a weaker technology which may make it more compatible.
