is there any mod/cheat that allows me to get rid of my lightsaber? and i dont mean just dropping it (i already do that on all the time) i mean full on making it dissappear from the weapon select (also not really taking it out from the game files) just so i can only play with guns/melee (i am asking because of a possible project i might be working on after my computer problem gets fixed)

If you're looking to create your own server there's settings you can tweak to make this possible, no mods required. I'm sure if you google around enough you'd be able to find it.

On servers you visit, no this is not possible. This is a server-side setting and can't be changed from the client's end. Best I can say is switch weapons (to melee in our case).

You can unbind the default one for turn on the saber and off. To unbind is /unbind <key>
In your cfg folder you will find the default saying number 1 is your weapon, you can unbind it or bound to other key. This goes the same with weapprev and weapnext if I remember these correctly. So these are piece of advises I can come up with.

No mod or cheat are necessary to remove if you don't want to use. If you delete the saber things from a file, then it is likely you would get error and possible mess up. I hope these what I just explains might help you in some ways.

There's a saber file in the assets1.pk3\ext_data\sabers folder called empty.sab. You could open that in some text editor and change the "notInMP" value to 0. Will only affect solo games though, and not anything you see online. It's essentially an invisible lightsaber.

On the KR server, I'm afraid not. It's lightsaber/melee only. Occasionally, admins will play around with guns, but that's a privilege for said admins.
