The Star Wars Rebels Season 3 Trailer.

So much is now brought back into canon, and so much cool stuff is going to happen.

- The return of the CIS droids
- Captain Rex in full Clone armour
- Clone vs CIS vs Empire
- A Mandalorian clan loyal to the Empire
- Wedge Antilles
- Maul being Ezra's secret master
- Y-Wings
- Grand Moff Tarkin
- Admiral Thrawn!!
- Dark Troopers!

Maybe we get to see a canon version of Kyle Katarn here? Hopefully?

Either way, this trailer is intense, and honestly I'm far more excited for this than Rogue One. Dave is the new god of Star Wars. All hail him.

Kind of excited, just hope they don't have anymore meaningless episodes which mean nothing to the overall story like in season 2. Didn't really enjoy season 2, save for a couple episodes.

The episodes in season 2 weren't meaningless tho. The cool thing about Rebels is we see the rise of the Rebel alliance, how they become so powerful up to the point of getting an entire fleet and supplies. We saw they got a new base, a well built one also (though we know it doesn't last long, since it wasn't seen in a new hope, or unless they have two bases, in that case they just became more powerful in my eyes).

Rebels is about two things: The strengthening of the Rebel Alliance, and Ezra Bridger. And as far as Ezra, he has the best character development out of all the canon stuff. His fall to the dark side is soo believable, unlike Anakin's that makes no sense. Ezra's new mature personality and dark side corruption roots from the same mindset that we see from the character development from season 1, so not only does this have consistency, but also makes it very believable. I mean, Anakin has a different personality and view of life in every movie we saw him in. Thankfully Dave Feloni fixed that with some character development for Anakin during the Clone Wars animated TV series, but I'd say Dave's greatest work goes in Ezra's development.

I would prefer Thrawn stay in the books then become one of Disney's play things. Unless Timothy Zahn is overseeing how they use Thrawn so they don't ruin his character, I find his very use insulting to true star wars fans. Also, it would appear Wedge Antilles is now a defected TIE pilot, not the Corellian freighter pilot. Sad.

Funny you should mention, Timothy Zahn IS in fact, making another Thrawn book. He announced it himself. And I don't think Wedge is a defected pilot, though it is possible considering this is technically his origin story now. Though I prefer the books story for Wedge MUCHMUCHMUCHMUCHMUCH more.

And yes, I am very excited for the next season. I haven't gotten to watch season 2, but perhaps with the power of youtube I can watch it, as I don't use Cable TV or dish. :/

@John Well listening to the trailer and looking at the statues he was looking at (the Ysalamir statues), I'm assuming his personality and tactics will be upheld. Heck, they made Tarkin much more badass at the end of Season 1 of Rebels, and knowing Dave he will uphold Thrawn's awesomeness. And the Wedge thing, we don't know anything yet, but Dave is a great writer, he can come up with something good while also appealing to old fans.

Really John, I recommend you watch Rebels, its not what you think, its actually pretty great.

EDIT: Did some research, and yeah, Dave is collaborating with Timothy Zahn in terms of Admiral Thrawn's representation in the show. :) NEVER DOUBT THE DAVE.

Zahn actually just finished his rough draft of a new Thrawn centric novel. He posted about it on Facebook a week or two ago.

EDIT: Froggy beat me to it.

You know what, I never watched it, but I am definitely going to start! Seems very nice and interesting :)

Hm yeah. Good read. I like how the ended it with a quote from Thrawn himself, saying that this is an error, and won't be a mistake.

Also for people who didn't see, yes, Timothy Zahn is working with Filoni on Thrawn's character representation and performance in Rebels.

It is a great show. Ezra Bridger, the main character, to me is far more interesting and believable than Anakin Skywalker. Even his "turn to the dark side" is more real and makes more sense.

It's a cool story based show that follows the tale of boy who joins a rebel cell consisting of a jedi padawan who survived order 66, a twi'lek pilot who is daughter of Cham; leader of the twi'leks on Ryloth, a Lasat general; one of the last of his kind, a Mandalorian female of the clan Wren, and an old Y-Wing centralized astromech droid.

Their rebel cell eventually joins up to the Rebel Alliance under the Phoenix Squadron, which is a large squadron of the Alliance that brought forth many changes that empowered the Alliance through all squadrons by their achievements.
