I've already made my opinions known so I won't bother posting mine, however I'd like to hear in detail about what you like and what you don't about the entirety of the EU, if making it non cannon was worth it in the end.

It can be in depth or just a short synopsis, either way I've been curious about all your opinions.

I've only ever been to France and England, really hoping I'll be able to visit Sweden and Germany some day. I think once I'm able to travel that'll become more of a reality. Until then I can only read about it and talk to people who actually have visited the area.

France
- Normandy / Rouen: Very pleasant, the people were great. Loved the countryside. (Had excellent cheese and other foods!)
- Paris: I will never go back again. Always smelled of urine and the people are extremely rude.
- Versailles: Pretty cool.

England
- London: Loved it. Clean and cool.
- Plymouth: Great view and great food!

Scotland
- Edinburgh: If I could live outside of the US, I would live here. Simply awesome.
- Highlands: Awesome!!

Republic of Ireland
- Dublin: Was okay, reminded me of a typical US city.
- Numerous towns in the countryside: breathtaking.

On the todo list, in no particular order:
- Switzerland
- Germany
- Australia (I know this isn't in EU)
- New Zealand (ditto)
- Norway

I'm partial to Italy myself! I love their culture and their history. As one of the founders of the EU I think they've firmly established themselves as one of the (formerly) most important cultures in the world. And don't even get me started on the language...

Oh, are we talking about the European Union or just Europe in general? The OP isn't really clear on this.

As far as the EU goes, I've been around it a fair bit - I have some family in Ireland and also in Switzerland at one point and visited them. Europe in general is very interesting because you get exposed to a lot of different cultures and environments in a relatively small amount of physical space, like a good chunk of Western Europe would fit inside Texas.

For the EU though, it's pretty obvious that some stuff in it didn't make any sense because of the prequels, and then having to fit a 7th (and many more) movies into that universe would have put some pretty severe restrictions on their ability to tell a story. I don't mind that they gave themselves a blank slate to work with, but I hope that we will see some of the more prominent features of the original EU come back in the new movies and shows.

Switzerland is not EU but just Europe :)
My point was just that I have visited Europe several times and traveled around...
