Hello again Knights Reborn!

So, this isn't specifically an alliance request per se, but I think maybe this is the best place to post this to guage interest in something I've been working on that I've wanted to do for a long time. This might be a somewhat lengthy post, so bear with me.

Recently, I gathered a few friends up to get a sort of roleplaying project off the ground called Shattered Worlds. The idea behind this community is to engage in interactive storytelling to shape the events of a Star Wars fandom universe built around Jedi Academy. Currently our main group is operating the Sith Empire RP (not to be confused with {{S}} clan, that's not us) and building up a story for the Galaxy taking place at some undisclosed time after all the Star Wars canon (ignoring pretty much all of the EU except for some of KOTOR era). It's coming along well and so I've decided to guage interest on the next part of my idea.

Here's what I'm wanting to do. What I'd like to do is work with various clans / teams around the JK-verse to hold various events (TFFA, FF battles, Siege, CTF, anything goes really) where each clan / team is representing a faction in our Star Wars: Shattered Worlds universe. Those involved can choose to contribute RP if they wish, but it isn't required. Basically the events would decide the fate of various battles and strategies being enacted throughout the Galaxy.

For example, say KR were to join up and take control of the remnants of the Jedi Order faction. Say the Jedi plan to infiltrate an Imperial outpost in order to acquire some sort of tactical data on their mainframe in order to thwart future Imperial attacks against the Alliance forces that have organized against the Empire. KR would make a suitable challenge to Sith Empire, probably something like Jedi v. Merc or an appropirate Siege battle or the like (RP missions are also an option for those who are more into RP stuff). The outcome of the match would determine the fate of that mission; so for instance the Sith Empire players take up Mercs against KR's Jedi in a JvM match and the merc team wins. The Jedi fail to escape with the plans and maybe a Jedi is captured by the Empire. These matches would thereby have a direct effect on the ever-evolving story of the Shattered Worlds universe.

The main goals of this project are to 1) encourage activity across JK among those clans / teams that still have active members and 2) give them something to fight for. Winning a clan match has always had a little bit of prestige to show for it, but nothing really tangible. Shattered Worlds would make each match mean something special, adding to the overall story of the shared universe.

So, would KR be interested in participating in something like this? We're currently working with Aemat to get DJE active again and posisbly participate as well (probably as a sub-faction of the Empire to begin with) and if it goes well and KR is also interested, I will set up a hub site for the story and challenges and the like. What'ya guys think?

That's an ambitious idea, and I do like RP though I am awful at it and I am very picky on what game I am playing.. So I may or may not participate should KR choose to accept. Now, all of this is up to the Council, I'd imagine, so sit tight for their reply!

Indeed. And just to clarify, RP won't ever be required to participate. The roleplay element is contained within the various faction storylines, which no one involved has to actually contribute to. Those who wish to be involved with the story-writing will do write-ups for the events, and I'll act as the sort-of "editor in chief" to revise the final news posts to the site. People particpating in the actual events can RP as little or as much as they care to, or not at all; that and the requirement to keep a faction active would be relatively lax; something like maybe issuing or accepting one challenge every 2 months. All that detail will have to be worked out, but obviously I'm not going to put too terribly much effort in until I know there is some interest in the community for such a thing.

Well it's been a month and we didn't hear anything so we decided to go in a different direction. Feel free to lock / remove this topic.

Sorry there wasn't more of a response. As frog said, this was an ambitious project to say the least, and I doubt many of our members had the time necessary to make this project turn out like you envisioned. If you don't mind me asking, what new direction have you chosen?
