Who's at what rank?

Ultimately it is your choice Phil. However i will say that just because someone has not trained a padawan before does not make them incapable of teaching you more than a trick or two!

I've seen more than a few fresh players enter this game and i'm always suprised how people are so inventive with there own individual styles, Water said it on a different topic that this game has a " high" skill cap and i completely agree with that statement as there are also many different individual ways of fighting in the game.

My main point being is that although you may desire to have a more experienced master that does not neccesarily mean that you will get the best experience out of it, There are lessons that a first time master and a first time padawan do learn together and i'm afraid you may miss out on those experiences.

As i posted earlier i will accept you as my Padawan Council and Jedi Knights permitting however i strongly encourage you to consider the benefits of taking either Creed or Jawa as a master.

In the words of a famous Vulcan: The needs of the many outweight the needs of the few or the one.

Benefits of a experienced master

You will have a already set regime to train under and follow

You will be learning a relatively strong style of combat

You " May" learn some tweaks and turns that you would not normally

Benefits of having a fresh master

You will develop a strong working relationship

You will be learning a new and unique fighting style
(Unlike the standard styles of a master who has had multiple students)

The master will also benefit quite highly from the relationship
(Also developing their own skills in the process!)

The master will also gain benefit from going up the ranking system
(You have no idea how hard Padawans are to come by these days)

Please consider what i have said here. It's your choice ultimately.

We await your reply.

I have considered the knighthood of creed and Jawa and I do not want to deprive them of the chance of teaching and gaining ranks, however I personally have been seeing invites and applications shooting out like rain in a storm and I think it will be no time before they find a new paddy that appreciates the qualities found in fresh masters which Aeddan pointed out quite nicely, and its not just learning a trick or two im looking for.

I prefer to have the kinds known through experience and practical improvement that I generally see in older masters. I want to refine and 'clean up' my style because I think it forms to wild and risky in exchange for Inventive moves and less practical strategy.

I'm not saying that Creed or Jawa couldn't do this, but its more prevalent in experienced masters who have ironed out their style to something cleaner and more practical, which personally gives me a better understanding of what I'm looking for in my style.

CASE AND POINT: I respectfully stick with my request to have Aeddan as my master so long as its alright with the council.

Whereas, I don't blame you for wanting an experienced master, our knight's are experienced as well. We would like to give our knight's paddies before our others, whereas they need it to move up in rosters.

So is this a no? Or can I have Aeddan as my massah?

 #111735  by AJ

I would say no if at all possible.

Well it is possible :(, very well I realize how important it is for knights, its too bad I wanted Aeddan quite a lot.

So now I suppose i gotta pick one of the onlh 2 available single masters... ill pick Jawa as my master so long as he consents. No offense to Creed at all they are both great duelists I prefer Jawa only because he has been waiting longer for an apprentice. Otherwise Id be torn to pieces trying to pick one of you. :P

In that case I accept.

May i recommend teleporting him into a wall if he does not listen Jawa? Jawfin will tell you it worked well on me :-)

Gratz guys :-)

I think I like Jawfin's approach on Jato's training a lot better ;)

Yes but that's also classified as Padawan abuse. :D

Lol thx guys, I know Jawa hasn't been a knight long, but I think Aeddan was right in saying that can still learn a lot from him :)

Just because he hasn't been a Knight that long, that doesn't mean he can't teach you a lot.
