Well hay ther,

I tried connecting to the kr1 server not too long ago to be stopped short by a download which went nowhere...It actually said "downloading 0kb out of 0kb"...Something isn't right about that.

I tried connecting again, and then it booted me from the list, telling me that I should turn off Autodownload and try connecting if I had the file.

Am I missing something?

edit: I fixed it by turning off autodownload. If anyone has similar problems, that's how you fix it.

So in the starting menu goto setup then select game options down the bottm (4th from the bottom) is the option Allow Downloads turn this off and that should fix the problem

There are exploits in the Quake 3 engine which allow hackers to access and download files they should not, so downloading is disabled and downloaders are blocked.
