If, lets say; sum1 tells you to "shut up", is that bad?

Do you say shut up in real life? Do your parents tell you to shut up?
Shut up isn't as bad as some things that can be said. I would have to say no. 9 year olds say shut up.

It depends in what context u use it.
If you just tell people to shut up because u can i class u as a complete arse hole who has no respect for anyone.
If you tell someone to shut up for swearing and not listening to polite requests to stop swearing then its is okay.

Well said Craig - hes right. It depends what context you use it in. Generally it isnt an insult.

No offense, Naraku, but you need to stop acting like a child. You're asking us if it's a swear word, and we're saying no. It's not worthy of severe punishment, but if you're gonna be spamming it as a means to be rude without breaking a rule, I'm gonna have to question what you are doing in this clan. We're not about finding ways to act like assholes without going against our own laws, which seems like what you're trying to do almost every time you ask a question on the forums. It's like you're always verifying whether what you do is with in boundaries or something. Stop trying to abuse policies, please.

If you only 'knew' how many times i would like to say shut up to people.. does that answer it?

As for the rest, the reason i asked is because someone in KR was saying it alot. Which i took offencive, nor liked.
When i ask a question and he tells me to "shut up", really aggrovates me.

Naru keep this up and I'll be very amused, but it doesn't equate to me being happy about it.

Okay. I understand. Well this discussion is amusing me to. And i got the answer i was looking for. Shut up is allowed. But not like if i was a question and i get the answer: shut up! ---right?
