Well, i've seen a couple of these topics across the web. Basically, you do something like this. (And this can be for anthing, i'm just doing for ones that i'm guilty of)

But that's not true I've seen him with my own eyes. I've saved him from the Maelstrom Prison. And I totally did not fan boy all over the place when I won a social roll and talked to me. That...would just be silly. Totally silly.

To me, It never happened. I prefer my fanfic version of the timeline.
