ok, my laptop is acting a bit strangely since earlier this evening, basically even 5 mins or so it plays a lost prophets track (everybodys screaming if anyone wanted to know) and there is no window open to play it. Im completely baffled, i have tryed to disconnect from my internet to no avail, i also tryed restarting my computer which also had no effect, one thing i did do before it started happening was altered the sound and audio options in control panel because videos on site such as youtube and others did not give me any sound at all. Me and my dad looked in control panel and found it was using the wrong speakers or something like that. Any help would be much appreciated, my dad is going to look at it tomoro but im not sure he can fix it.

thanks

double post i kno but its ok coz i figured it out myself. ages ago i set my msn so that it would play the tune when i signed in, however at the time it didnt work so i thought screw it and after i changed my speaker settings today it must have triggered it to work or something. even tho i went offline and everything, what must have happened is that the song was still playing and didnt matter if i went offline.
Sorry to bother u peeps XD

i did try, i thought i had tryed everything like i already explained in my original post but i couldnt figure it out, it didnt occur to me that it was msn because when i signed off the track continued playing and me being a dumbass (pho will agree with me there) didnt think it would continue the song. Next time i will try harder tho, thx. :)

You stopped it now, but if you had done CTRL+ALT+DEL then gone to the processes tab, then ended one called "msmsgs.exe". It should have stopped :)
