I've been told before that religion is a bad thing to talk about in-game with guests, thought it was a rule but can't find it...so now I'm wondering is it?

Its not a rule as such. Its that religion is a hotspot for arguments. And as it is peoples beliefs, these arguments often get very fiery, and can cause alot of issues at that time, or even further down the line. We dont say outright 'you can never talk about relgion'. But I would advise trying to not if possible. And if it is going on, at the first sign of an argument, I would stop the discussion there and then.
