I'm sorry, but I lost interest in this game months ago. While I admit, the combat does look interesting, it's kind of getting annoying to just hear some news like...every few months and then nothing. Can't say that I'm as hyped about it as I was before, but, we'll see when we get closer to release time. Otherwise, it just hasn't put up so much that I really want it yet.

Looking forward to SWTOR for a while but I see its gone back to end of 2011!

That said if they want to make sure its top notch thats fine.. But if they are going to do a Grand Turismo 5 then noo wayy!!!

Although knowing Bioware, they will certainly please

I expect the combat is going to be a WoW / Dragons Age style.

I'm more interested in the combat system than the combat itself i mean i believe an online mmo with a Force unleashed system would be win

Its mmo, which I assume means turn-based attacks (I think?); so yea, really not my genre of game for online (as I only play one online game anyway!) so it'll never be "exciting" - who here remembers battle chess? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKcZwPb7C3k (nevermind the noobs playing.)

i'm not a fan of turn based anything really. i played and will play again sometime, Lord of the Rings Online. it is turn based but it's a theme and story that i love.
battle chess was awesome even though i sucked ;)

I'm not hyped, but when it does (eventually!) get out I think I'll be caught up in the hoopla (yes, it's a word) as much as anyone else.

How weird

only last week I was looking at youtube videos of old Amiga games I used to play one being.... Battlechess!

Its a difficult one, not many games contain a full massive scale RPG element, a complete combat system and an online worlds of play..

I am not sure it is viable.

Its not for everyone but Bioware have produced some very good turn based stuff in SP. KOTOR, DA, telling great stories.

They even did a half way house job with Mass Effect which was great.

But I am not sure you could get a full combat system going ala JA into and RPG let alone a MMORPG.

I guess its just tastes

BioWare's Senior Game Designer is William Wallace. That's epic. :P

I assume choreographed saber moves are the same as predefined moves? If so, this is already a disappointment for me. I want to perform my attacks not select them from a hud. The graphics are subpar – almost identical to JKA. Is it too much to ask for a star wars game with the combat feel of JKA and graphics of Crysis 2?

well they explained in the combat video that they would be making the attacks more realistic not taking turns attacking like KOTOR and TSL which annoyed me. Those are just prototype graphics the game wont be finished till like 2011 so the graphics will improve. i like how its not a one sided battle though the trooper can easily take down a jedi or sith without a problem. it is an mmo but if im not mistaked you dont have to select your attack with the hud but i could be wrong im 1/2 and 1/2 on this game idk i need to see more

Its bioware who are making the game, their RPGs dont involve direct combat.

not sure it would work in such an indepth rpg on an mmo scale.

I get the sense people here are looking for a JKA sequel here, this is not it.

Biowares track record has been impressive, so I have little doubt they will deliver. I think the hud system will be similar to Dragons Age.

Bioware do make great RPG games.

But the KOTOR 3 on an MMO is a big against my religion.

Id rather there was this and a KOTOR 3..

This is like a WoW / Dragons Age with a star wars theme on.

Melissa you jump ship more than Jack Sparrow

Last year you was def getting it then no it not kotor 3 etc

Apparently Obsidian said if they get the chance they will do KOTOR 3 SP.

Hopefully Bioware will manage to pull it off the storyline ok..

Not at all, i always held teh view that I wanted an SP but I do like biowares stuff and think they will do a good job..

my reservations are down to immature seflish gamers who Id rather not share the expereince with

now i like the idea of kotor online but it would be better if it was cooperative online such as sp campaign but friends can help you out or just have regular bot/player controlled party members. all in all i like biowares stuff and hope that this turns out a good game ive long anticipated another bioware game. this is looking to be more like star wars galaxies and WoW for the online gameplay just running around and fighting. im holding my breath until i see more of this game.

From what I have seen that is what it is going to be

You play the storey co-op, you will still get your own dialogue options and you choose what you say, others can choose what they say

There are NPCs who you can also interact and have freindships with
