The Old republic MMO

Just wondering if when this game is released in a few months. Cannot remember if it is November or december.
If anyone is signing up to it?
While admittedly I am not keen on the idea of KOTOR in MMO format I sadly am such a huge fan of KOTOR and biowares work on this and similar titles.
Even started replaying KOTOR 1 and probably 2 to follow
I am almost certainly going to be getting the old republic
The fee apparently is not decided and may not be a monthly thing but pay for what you wish. as in you buy extras if you want to.
They seem to imply that your character work and development and interaction with NPCs was teh same as in SP... not sure how that works in MMO to be honest

..
Not sure if its going to work as a faction game like Guild Wars etc or SP in a MMO ... I am unsure to how it will all come together.
So is anyone else going to do it.

I would get it...if I actually had some money to my name. So, until that happens, I'll just be sitting at my computer, wishing I could
Btw, what Mel said about the specs needed to play it.

I take it there is no one is looking to be playing then from KR? Shame, I don’t know if clans or guilds will apply, I get the impression there might be. Certainly character classes and choices are faction based.
Incidentally there is no released specification yet, they do think it will work on most PCs.. although you can sign up or to a beta tester (if you are lucky enough to be picked)
From
www.swtor.com
I have signed up but not really expecting to be picked
But I can wait though, as a big fan of KOTOR, probably my fav game that.

Fair enough
Didn't really find Guild Wars much of an attraction after a while.. very empty game
Never really got into WoW to be honest. I did try it but just was not keen

You seem to buy into this MMO being a next KOTOR. Sure KOTOR 1 + 2 were great (1 moreso)... But I dont see how a MMO with clans works in the same effect..
Oddly enough they do sell it like that
I am not convinced..

watch that
yes the combat and movement layout ha changed but you still have your own personal character development as KOTOR
The chat menu system looks very similar to Mass Effect actually.
Not sure how the combat system works but is along a similar lines..
I do wonder whether you play quests with online players and or other NPCs which are part of the storey.
Don't mind playing Multiplayer with NPCs aswell but aslong as you don't get idiots.
One thing I dont get is that you have like Trooper smuggler classes which are going to be comparible to say Jedis and Sith Warriors.. now I know they need to keep the game balanced but surley everyone is going to be a Sith or Jedi and not a trooper

So anyone getting the mod code for the unused content in KOTOR 2, with an extra world with 2 hours of gameplay, and a MUCH better ending?

Is that the Project Gizka thing?
Did they ever do that? that went on for years, I kinda thought it was never going to happen.
Would be pleased if they did finally sort it out.
