Usually people have to play for MMO's Hopefully it will be much better than SWG. They really f'ed up on that one.

Well, it is expensive to run the servers you play on in games. And I never ever expected it would be out this year! Excuse me while I go... How does one celebrate for something awesome like this?

I know some MMos charge monthly fees but i certainly object in two ways

1) KOTOR was a SP and much better as a SP as was the emphasis of the storyline.

I don't really want to play KOTOR with somebody else who runs around shouting pwn'ed and noob. Those "words" (oxymoron) are for idiots.

2) monthly fees are acceptable but if you have to pay for the game also its a a rip off.. either pay the one off fee or offer the software free or low cost along with a subscription..

That's why I will be getting Guild Wars 2 when it comes out.

Exactly.. and for the obvious money scheme on here I agree it looks like they have sold out

that said the video looks kinda cool.

The first one was good but only for so long... it became extremely dull quick.


But to an extent I feel MMO is a little flawed in that most players are not decent honest team players... some are. some are not..

when you build a clan in KR for example people get to chill and play together without pressures and it works..

I dont think the same existance appears in MMO, sure you have guilds and such in GWs and factions in other games.. but ultimately it doesn't work as well.

I agree with Mel, KR is the best.

CGI or not, that was a sick video!!!!

Fees are one thing

but fees + £30 or $50 (dunno what the exchange rate dollar has fallen back a bit recently) for a client aswell..

if they are all running servers and changing fees great.. but charging for client packages seems a rip off.

The video does look good but has little baring on what the game play is like

I suspect from what I seen so far it may use a similar style engine to Mass Effect. But not sure though since it is a MMO.

Still not sure on the MMO idea,

Maybe they introduce a penalty system

If you flounce from a team mission or have a hissy fit - 1000xp per mission
If you curse or swear at other team mates -500xp per word
If you use any word like n00b or its variations -1000xp per word
If you use pw3ed/ owned or any variations - banned for life but you must pay 12 months fees

The video and previews to Unleashed looked great

but sadly the game was as RaVen said hack n slash and all repetitive

PS3 version was better though the Wii version was dissappointing
