I like the background a lot, but it sort of looks like you cut the render in half by using the pen tool wrong,

nope.. render is full size its just i like that position 
In the middle you didnt get his fist.. and i wanted him that size as well

check the link. But to say the least i think it turned out pretty well. No pen tool used btw been a while since i touched PS so i used a pre cut render for a quick job.
The effects on the render is what im more pleased with tbh.

Woah! I totally missed the fist. It definitly looks so much better now that I can see it. Awesome!
