UPDATE

Ok guys, from me I think its all done.

The pre-loader works and starts the movie when it knows it will be fully downloaded before the end is reached, so it starts a lot quicker. The final screen fades in nicely and lines up with the webpage frame. The pre-loader also has a skip button that will terminate the download and go straight to the home page for people not prepared to wait.

Also, for the people without flash it offers them the option to get it, or go to the homepage.

So, here it is, then final final imo!

For the past 2 weeks or so KR members have been deciding on a new logo for the clan. (since we have never had one)

And for the past week or so I have been working on a little intro movie incorporating the new logo and the clan together.

Most KR members have had the chance to see almost every step of the video making process, from a rough little animated video to what it is now.

But most members don't know, until now, that the Council recently passed a 5/0 vote to make KR's new logo officially "The Black Sun"

So without further ado, I give you the new look of KR Enjoy!

The Black Sun.

Now I’m not saying we are a black hole, or evil, but I have some ideas of how it pertains to our clan:

1.) The sun is the brightest light for any world in the universe, but, as known, the brightest light casts the deepest shadows. We aren’t a perfect clan. We meet in the middle on a lot of things but one thing we will never surrender is our integrity. I look at this like as us shedding our light but remaining a sun, and a beacon.

2.) This clan is neither all good nor all bad. As I’ve said it before, we’re shades of gray. This sun image I think helps represent that almost immediately.

3.) The Sun is a pure power image. It represents life, passion, energy, and force. It is an insurmountable image that with its mere presence effects worlds.

And for Jawfin and all other members:

Pho and I have been talking about that. It looks as if some of the color theme might change here on the forums. I think if anything it would just be little more tinted blue and maybe white? but like a grayish version of that. Pho was thinking about making a new home page that would have the video embedded in it. I would be helping out with that.

ETA on all of this is...weeks if not months. Both Pho and I are busy ATM.

We got our symbol which is step one. The rest will follow suit in time.

If anyone would like to help out let Pho or I know.

Updated:

-Rotated the sun in a more interesting way.

-Rotated the "beams" of sunlight.

-Took some of the glow off the sun so it is more detailed.

-Racked focus at the end with the main title.

-Added an extra ending with the a new tagline.

Don't play the "literal" game with me because I will always win.

Example:

It is a logo, it is something new, and it is for KR.

Therefore it is a New Logo for KR.

Works.

New doesn't always mean change, or something different. It can mean fresh, modern. It's all about perspective.

Hehe, also in Greek the word 'kainos' which is translated to the word 'new' can also be understood to mean refresh.

Updated the video, now there there is a fllash version which is a quicker download/streaming.

I left the Quicktime one up since it is better quality but takes longer time to download.

I also updated the two logos so that they now match the video.

Well it has technically already happened. This is the official logo of KR. The website and all depends on when Pho has some side time to work on it. He is able to tackle a bit here and there but all in good time

I use Adobe After Effects for the video and Soundtrack Pro for the music.

...I might start working on this again...
