"As for Photoshop CS4, Adobe has said publicly that it will make available a 64-bit version of the photo-editing software, but only for Windows and not for Mac OS X. "

Prepare for meltdown.

Although I must admit using my mates iMac alot recently, they are not bad actually, although nothing for peopel to get so bitter about towards people of other choices..

Anyway as for cs4 they doing 3d modelling?

Well CS3 Photoshop already has some minor 3D editing. If you brought a Pre-modeled 3D image into Photoshop you could change the light angels, camera angels, skin changes and I believe you can even warp the image a bit. (but not modeling really)

However this new one will allow you to create animations (tweening with what used to be image ready) within Photoshop and then output them to Flash or After Effects for some rather quite impressive video animations.

...just you still need to model them in another 3D application first.

At least this is what I gather from what they have released about it so far.

EDIT: I took this quote from the page:
In Photoshop CS3, which debuted last year, Adobe added rudimentary 3D editing and manipulation tools.

meh there annoying now.. tbh there just trying to appeal to the modelling market and C4D has them beat as well as 3dmax.. i guess the only thign that will give them the edge is that for regular photoshop guys, it will be easy to traverse than going to 3dmax or C4d.

Ive tried C4D and i must say to date i couldnt create anything remotely similar to anything i could in C4D.

Depends on the modelling

Real time 3d modelling and CAD, and engineering is a huge market but thats I suppose alot more technical whereas thast more artistic.. :? I get I have tangented off

Uh oh.
Personally I preferred CS2 over CS3. Maybe this will be better.
