Love you all

That's it, nothing sinister
As everyone knows I’m old (hehe), and in that time I’ve had the responsibility of conducting job interviews (and firing) of highly qualified professionals. And, in that experience, I found the best question to ask is what is their favourite comedy; no joke, seriously!
And the thing is, until you’ve got a person working for you for 6 months, you don’t really know what they are like. Well, I have found in the KR community that people are willing to expose their weaknesses and failings, it is highly irregular; such honesty is very heart-warming.
So this is no more than I love you guys, and if I ever form a multi-national corporation (could happen!) you guys are first on my employment list (but don’t give up your McDonald’s jobs in anticipation).

Commuting might be a problem
You should do The Apprentice KR edition.
I know what you mean though, when I first took someone under my wing, even though I worked with him day to day and planned everything managed the jobs etc.. It wasnt until we went out for a drink at christmas we got to know each other.. Now we are mates working at different places.

Hey Kane, favorite comedy, hmm...
I would presume the category is limited to sitcoms, then thus limited to what you could handle watching repetitively.
I mostly prefer the old droll English humor, so: Black Adder, Young Ones, Faulty Towers, Yes Minister, Porridge and Open All Hours.
There is a short list of newer comedies: Black Books, The IT Crowd; and completely out of left field (because they're American) Arrested Development and Futurama.
But, if I was to be a on a deserted island with only one comedy, then it would have to be... Red Dwarf.

I would give the US version another chance...I mean it is the number 1 TV comedy in the states now...
I tried to watch the English version one, and no offense to English people, but I couldn't understand what they were saying.
As an example: In the first episode they were worried about "redundancies." Everyone keep talking about these "redundancies" Which I had no idea what they were talking about as the root word is redundant which means unneeded, repeating.
Wasn't until I saw the US version where they replaced that word with "Layoffs" did I understand.
"Even though we speak the same language there is an ocean of differences"
-RaVeN (I just made this up but feel free to quote me if anyone wants)
I personally think the US version is hilarious and achingly awkward at times (as was the UK one).
Jawfin...great pick on Arrested Development. I think that is quite possibly the best TV show comedy ever made. It's a shame, but also kinda ironic, that it was canceled due to lack of viewership. (it wasn't until it came out on DVD that people found out what they were missing. But by then it was too too too late, and turned that day into a very sad day.)

Edited sorry my typing skills were awful
Most of the episodes were copied on Ricky Gervais's orignal episodes
They are 90% copied from the orginal episodes. I have no quarrels with the wording in the US version its just when they copied it.. Well its down to one main character . Reasons why it doesnt work is the manager
Rickey Gervais made David Brent.. I know he isnt called that in US edition.
But the US guy doesnt act in the same way.. He is more generic
I watched about 6 episodes..
When Office was originally written and made here it was an original idea, and its mostly pulled out of the main character made my Gervais..
The US is just like a normal sit com... its not got the touch..
In its own enterity its Okay proabbaly, but compared to original I just think its a bit criminal.
However!!
Alot of the humour and sarcasm in the UK version couldnt be used in the US as you'd struggle with our levels of sarcasm.
Our sarcasm is guilty of being a bit abiguous so Europeans and Americans just dont get it.. we are weird like that. So that is an understanding PoV.
I suppose if we remade friends put different actors in and it just wasnt the same you'd get my meaning.
As I say in its own enterty fine.. But It will not sit next to the original.

Didnt mind the Office US
But it doesnt compare to the original. The comedy is far too obvious.
